Deficiency?

Hi,

I looked through a couple guides and couldn't find an example that I thought looked like mine, not sure if this is a deficiency or maybe nutrient burn, or maybe my soil is to hot? This is my second grow. Homemade soil from scratch, see image for contents. I used soil from my last grow which was coco, vermiculite and worm castings and used strictly Neptune's Harvest nutrients and didn't have a single issue. I mixed my soil in several 5 gallon buckets and mixed every so often for a couple weeks, put in 10 gallon fabric pots, wait another week and planted. I didn't get pictures but when they were seedlings they looked a little funny, misshapen cotyledons and looked a little yellowish around the edges but they came out of it. Now they are about 2 weeks or so in and this is what I'm working with now. They are Pineapple Auto Feminized.

Also, in the amendment list, I did not use any bone meal, epsom salt or lime. Lights started out being 1000w Sunraise Lead but switched to now having two hlg 260w quantum board v2 rspec and they each have 150 watts from the wall, it's a 3'x3'x6' tent, watering with plain filtered water only.

A predominately coco based grow, if I read your info. correctly... and if so, managing it with dry amendments and plain filtered water will be a challenge. I would lean towards an Mg shortage, not knowing more of the details.

Think so? If it was determined that mg was the problem would a dose of Epsom salt help? Immediately/long term? It's magnesium sulfate, 16% mg. I omitted it to avoid a possible saturation in calcium or magnesium, can't remember which. I made some ewc tea and just have that to them to see if it would help. I'm just trying not to screw with them too much. They seem to be doing ok so far besides some spots. When checked with a pH meter the soil and the runoff come out to 6.8 - 7 so that seems a little high suggesting pH is off if I read it right.

As Capn-Crunch suggested, and as you've guessed, a little Epsom salt via foliar and within a few days you'll know if you're barking up the right tree.
