Deficiency??

I think I have some type of deficiency? I'm thinking either zinc or magnesium deficiency. Leaves are ribbed/bumpy, they are curling down and inward (almost like a claw) and new growth is lighter than it normally is... Your guys opinion??

I'm growing in a waterfarm and I'm fairly sure it isn't from overferting. I'm only using 1/2 strength nutes. She's a little over a month old now.

In my opinion you're seeing normal growth. I have two strains growing. One does that but the other does not. it's my more indica-dom plant that shows that ruffly leaf unpacking, along with that tendency to curl. When she gets bigger and older, those leaves will very probably flatten out. cn

Its hard to tell from your picture. I can't tell the color of the leafs because of the orangish color. Leaf curling down usually means to much watering. How is the drainage of your pots.? I also know nothing about your grow (nutrients, medium,ph. etc)

New growth is usually lighter in color. It turns darker as it matures and gets more light.

So you think it's just genetic? If so, your right on the ball then because all of her mature sets of leaves are flat and a lush green.

I'm not growing in soil man. No such thing as too much water. It's hydroponics and her roots are sitting in the water reservoir. I'm growing in a waterfarm. :)

In my opinion? Probably. What strain are you growing? Mine's a Nirvana White Widow, and she doesn't like to be fed or watered much. In fact, hydro almost killed her and I had to do a soil rescue. What starter medium did you use, and what nutrient are you running? cn

G13 Lab's Pineapple Express. I germinated and started the seedling in 100% perlite. Transferred her into hydroton in the waterfarm the first week. She's now in the 4th week of veg about to be flipped though. Just showed pre-flower signs. I'm running Advanced Nutrients 3 part base with a b vitamin supplement and beneficial bacteria.

I just read a little about Pineapple Express ... nice!! It uses C99 as a parent ... one of my favorite strains. If it were Widow-related I'd warn about the distressing ease of overfeeding, but with Bros Grimm in there, I'd expect a plant that can eat like a hog and put on weight accordingly ... once she hits her stride. Good on ya mate! as my Aussie friends would say. cn

Oh, she eats man. 1/2 strength is still pretty concentrated for Advanced. I'm hesitant to ever go full feeding. Fucking 1800 - 2200 ppm's. lol She's sucking down probably a gallon every 2 days.

Thanks though, you too! White widow is an amazing strain. One of my top 3 of all time (Headband, White widow, and Pineapple Express).
