It's my first time growing and I live in an apartment with 3 other guys. One of our friends needed to get rid of a plant, believe it, which hadn't been taken care of very well. He gave us a bottle of nutrient mix and it turns out both me and a roommate have been doubling up the plant (and also doing it too often, now that I've read the forums - if only I'd read these before) for probably the last week. I noticed it kept looking worse and worse as time went on.
I believe the plant is probably around a month old, maybe a little older. It's burning at the tips, turning yellow - I know this is the problem.
My question is: to fix it I should flood the roots out with water and then put the plant back into new soil? Will this work even at this plant's stage of life? I mean, there are still new leafs coming up - they just don't look too healthy.
Thanks to anyone who can help me out.
