defoliation question..... anyone familiar with it?

Defoliation is training I can control the height of any top plus create more branching.

No you can't, unless you're suggesting that the act of defoliation initiates stunting, which it will compared to a normal growth cycle.

You're really confirming what I've known all along BB - that you're a lucky MJ nerd with decent genetics that has just gotten lucky using cheesey choices which includes jerry rigged CFL's and such.

BTW, I don't do theories or hearsay, I do facts so don't carry on like I'm one of your MJ nerds buddies.

Your all about theories I'm doing it.

My luck is awesome I got stuck with a gallon of heavy crap garden soil, purple stems till I transplanted, vegged with custom cfls and a 400 watt hps defoliated many times to make some dense dank.

The cfls are great for veg my custon made batwing hood is original as is my flowering vertical shield and my own home made organics along with my years of experience made me so lucky.

Just watch what I do instead of just reading about something try it you might get as luck as me if you pay attention.

I know you like to see my skinny defoliated ladies.

I thought since I posted my harvest every where else I'll do it here.

I got so many pics it's stupid If people want to know how when and what was done just ask.

This was all done in coco compost mix with homemade organic nutes only. Cost in total about 40 dollars and I will keep using the soil and nutes for a reflower and if I can do a third I will but the soil will still be good no chemical build up.

I have seen 5 gallon bucket photos so I couldn't resist, many will think this is a whole plant, not just the colas mixed in that wall of hanging bud on the ends.

It's bagseed it seems like a 50/50 cross I'll have to run a thread when my defoliation test plants get bigger to see if someone can identify it.

My friend gave it to me these are much different because I defoliated many times to increase branching and photosynthesis because new shoots come out to replace what is gone but with more leaves than before.

dont mean to hijack or anything, but my question is about removing leaves so, I have had some overwatering problems(which resulted in overfeeding too because the nutes are in the water, even though im using under 1/2 of whats recommended), and i was wondering if I should remove the damaged leaves? only 1 or 2 leaves per plant is showing major discoloration, but they are all droopy. should i pull the sick leaves? oh and they are half a week old clones, im doin this for the first time

i just flipped my ladies yesterday, and DE-leafed them on Wednesday , and they have already pretty much grew new fan leaves to provide more than enough shaed... now i wasnt going to pluck them again untill after stretch, but it seams like they needed a plucking now.... what do you think??

and im still defoiliating. side nugs are much more dense.critical Yumbolt day 73.jpg

I FIM, lollipop, and supercrop all my girls. and they all seem to love it. I stopped lollipopping in flower (or I will continue for the 1st 5 days, then no more training). if you like, check out my grow in the link below. I have a ton of pics, and a thorough grow journal. not too bad for a 1st time grower if I may say so myself.

ihave been doing it off and on for years now have removed big fams at diff stages of flower
and found big fams are for growth and are not needed after stretch
sum genetics discard at 2/3 of flower refuse to support cause not needed
sum they change coler get brittle dop off some stay the same all the way
never fuck wit leaves araound bud ones dat suger up den you fkn wit production

i dont grow leaves i grow buds

my best to all

I read the linked information. It looks like he was just thinning the canopy not really defoliating like I had first thought. My first impression was to dismiss his ideas all together but after seeing the authors results i guess I should keep an open mind. The results were impressive. In theory it goes against everything I understand about botany but like I said the results looked pretty good. I'm not going to be defoliating any time soon as my own methods work well for me but I won't disapprove of your methods after seeing some proof that they seem to work.
