These were defoliated a couple weeks ago after the initial stretch was done. They seem to have plenty of leaves and buds too. They're pretty much exactly halfway through flower now.
4 plants. The two in the back and the one on the right-front = G13 Haze. Front-left = Green Crack.
Mine didn't seem to either. Here's the same plants 4 days later..

That one's Green Crack. My first time growing it. It's surprising the hell out of me, in a good way. That cola is only 28 days in 12/12. Shit, if this girl finishes off as strong as she's started I might throw my other genetics away!

Someone told me it can be harvested as early as 45 days, but that sounds crazy. Then again, at this rate, I could see that happening -- so prolly in 3 weeks for the GC. The G13 Haze in the back and on the right have another 4 weeks. Got some J1 in there too, also ready in 4 weeks. Here's another angle:

Those two are V+B. My other G13 Haze are fed Botanicare PureBlend Pro/Hydroplex/Instant Kharma/Pro-Tek, which is the control group I'm testing V+B against. Coco + perlite is the medium.
If you look in the pic (it's kinda hard to tell), but there are two plants in the back. The one on the left is the V+B fed, and the one on the right is the control nute group.

Defoilation is a technique that is used for many crops including cannabis. This technique is quite new to horticulture(20yrs approx) and is catching on everywhere. People set in their ways and not willing to actually increase their experience levels or are just to lazy or scared to try something new are the people that post total crap and confuse members trying to better themselves.
If done right it will not only increase your yeild per plan plus just make the enviorment a little more plesent for the girls. Do not listen to anyone that is not willing to see both sides, generally this type of info is skewed(read uncle bens shit), though he may be able to grow a weed, he really is limited by his ability to make advancements, in other words...he is old school and refuses to move into the modern age all the while boasting techniques long gone.
If done correctly they should look something like this when you are finished:
Continual leaf removal throughout the flower is key to allowing the lower shoots to catch up and reach the grow zone. Care must be taken though, you need to have the ability to understand when and why and knowing the traits of the strain you are growing is also critical. It becomes too much work for some.
This is the results I get from my removal:
The results are very consintant. I have been able to increase my yeild by almost 4 zips. This girl alone produced well over a pound under a 600 watt hps with mid quality bulbs.
Experiments are they key to advancements, without them, we would not be where we are today and still be loosing food crops to disease and pestalince...wouldn't we.

Bullshit, that is simply not true as are the rest of your assumptions. We've been down this road a million times and the group dynamics are always the same - young gullible kids that buy into snake oil products and gimmicks and ideologies without producing one link to a field test done by a non-partisan, non profit, high tech organization like a state extension service.
I'm a commercial niche farmer, greenhouse owner/grower and live in an area that commercially produces every kind of fruit, nut, berry, grape, forage (hay) and veggie crop you can imagine under every kind of circumstances - soil, soil-less, aquaponics, etc., outdoors and under "glass". It is impossible to increase yields if you remove the very unit that produces the flowers/fruits in the first place.....the pros know better. And don't get training or pruning (as in pruning dormant grapevines) confused with defoliation of cannabis fan leaves (just when the plant needs them the most).
