"Deku" Project.

I'm simply helping select parent stock, all of my autoflowering females were given away, so i'm checking the non-autoflowering females for potential, and so far so good except this little bump in the road since im smoking all these girls anyway . I plan on doing some breeding on the side myself, unless i get a few really nice f2's then i doubt i'll take this strain into f3. i see why The chemist brothers kills anything with crap traits, it can only pollute your perfectly ideal gene pool in the long run.

got a little over 3 weeks left on these Deku, blue mystic can go 3-5 more weeks personally, orange stunk has 3-5 weeks depending on how much weight it packs on. the seeds should be done in 3 weeks on the herm and the reg seeds should be done within 5. i'm hoping they fill out a bit more, i feel like they all yield a bit more than average except the sativa pheno blue mystic. flushed today, here is footage right after watering.

You kept the hermie? i'd have tossed her, she wasn't worth the trouble if she spat out balls and nanners on you. No need for impolite plants in my tents. Looking good so far, blue mystic looks like its perpetually yellow, Orangestunk looks small but the kiefiest, maybe too young a clone though? that other Deku is looking nice, forming multiple top colas so i guess in 4 weeks they should all pack on the weight and f2's will begin their life. I think i'll name the (Vortex x fruit) f2's once i see what they turn into, they have a Orang-mango smell as f1's, like tropical Tang mix.


I tossed all the (Chernobyl x fruit) seeds, they showed too much Herm traits, like 100 seeds down in the trash now. not even bothering with f2's i got 7 herms out of 23 females, some were early, others were during their 7th week in flower... never seen something that bad before so it can only be presumed that the chernobyl father was a crap parent. i guess we can smoke them along with the Deku. you should toss those chernxfruit, they ain't worth it.

I am Looking into ordering 15 regular Russian Rocket Fuel seeds from Short stuff, I could use some female clones of your future JTR and AoS if you wanna try to get the best male i find out of the group to make some Better F1's, I can even use my female RRF's since their are supposed to be Pineapple diesel/fuely pheno's that show rarely, that would be nice to cross for a new autoflower.

im already planning on crossing my best cheese with my best AOS and vortex. I dont know what JTR x Cheese would be like but i'm going to do that too.

Autoflower breeding should be done in the spring, so when you get those auto's i should have some clones set to the side for sexing, and we can use those for pollination/seeding/

I really want to buy a pack of AOS and JTR just to see what the rage is about and find a keeper.

They sound so amazing, I need to get some money lmao.

Yea, if it weren't for the sheer quality of the finished product, i'd say TGA seeds were expensive, 90 dollars for 10 reg seeds is asking alot untill you finish the plants and take your clones, then its like you got a treasure trove of pheno's to choose from for 90! its alot better than getting clones for 200 dollars that could be infested and ruin your growing zone.

So.... been twiddling my thumbs the last few days, decided to pop some of my JTR and put it in my other tent. I think i can buy a new camera in a month or so, i've been saving for one but the money has been used for paying my horticulture store for new equiptment/ph testing equiptment and nutrition for the ladies. I should be able to take photographs next week since i'll be borrowing my friends camera. I have shitty 5 megapixel camera but im too ashamed to even use it for these plants as its quality is absolute trash. Cannon from about 6 years ago roflmao.

you can have them all for all i care, i know it has potential but im not exactly entirely invested in the herm's seeds. i wanna grow the stuff i ordered before i work on f2's. im gonna see if i can find a way to safely ship my seeds to fellow RIU's without them being crushed or costing me too much $.

I'm probably Going to put the plants in 3 days of darkness next sunday, i will have pics of them all, final shots of the girls at 9 weeks flowering total. Saw a nanner on my little one today, plucked it out before it was mature... this group seems to be getting stressed by something, then again i was very hands-on, moving them and repositioning them after most waterings in order to clean my tent(dont want mildew or bugs) with this set compared to the last and that might be what it is but i am going to have another round of the f1's going to see if i can find better females.

Ok so the buds aren't mature and they keep showing growth, im giving them 2 more weeks, everything is showing color changes, the herm (Deku #1)has around 50-60 seeds in it, i took out 35 today, rest were ripped out and that way the plant grows Calyxes and stops focusing on seeds it is a very very spindly pheno. My other deku(Deku #2) in the 3 gallon is nearing completion, but its turning purple on its tips of calyxes like purple colors thrown in on a dark green, almost violet, from the jillybean genetics im certain, as is my Orangestunk clone (Bred using the same male jillybean)and the other Deku(Deku 3) in the 1 gallon pot.
my one Gallon pot with the 12/12 from seed deku is Amazing, as it turns out to be autoflowering, it is jillybean dominant autoflower, i tried cloning it and it would not re-veg under 18/6 in my closet, its been growing a tiny nug at the end of a clone. it smells Just like pineapples this was the pheno i settled on for my f2's, i also pollinated it with the same male Jillybean pollen and im going get maybe 20 autojill BX. Hopefully i can find a few good male plants from my deku f2 (Jillybean dom, Tri leaf dom) that display autoflowering and good growth and use that to pollinate a highly Jillybean dominant female autoflower from the BX, with that i will have f3's.
Nice budd formation with swelled stigmata, some are amber/red others are white, should have transplanted it earlier but it has another 2 weeks on it. Best smell, growth and got rootbound quick, but it takes nutes well.

Cut them down yesterday, trimmed as much as i could before getting bored, gonna trim some today.... I DID take pictures but when i sent them to myself i noticed how smudged my lens was and deleted them, now i got no before harvest shots of them, gonna take some of them hung up. it was maybe a week too early but whatever, i ended up with around 120 seeds total, 50 from hermie that im keeping and about 70 from the Pineapple-ish auto dom, many more to be sifted after they dry. I'll have a smoke report for each plant once they are ready, i usually cure for 3 weeks after i dry for a week after the cut. I'm going to starting germing seeds in a weeks time and i'm looking forward to these f2's, hopefully i will do better as i'm going to start 30-40 new seedlings in cups and select from a larger pool of candidates of f2's in order to get f3's. i will be running the herm's outside in a group if they turn out herm im just gonna cut them one by one. I will stress test everything and if 0 make it, oh well but if i get something that won't herm no matter how hard i stress it then i'll definitely keep it, even clone it or breed with it. saving BX seeds for outdoors. gonna use the herms to make butter like i always do.

this has been nice to Grow and breed on the side for research, learned alot from seeing what traits were passed from the jillybean, mostly purpling and fruity/citrus smells and flavor. I will continue breeding for the next year, and onward i'll stop spending so much cash on seeds and just look into making myself some stable IBL's and keep the genetics always on hand.

just ordered some seeds to take advantage of the Promo, got the Emerald triangle freebies and a 10pack of Armageddon From Homegrown fantaseeds and 2x10 packs of Russian Rocket Fuel (auto) by Short stuff seeds, 30 Jackberry and 30 KO kush by sannies.
Future Hybrids for this year to make- probably around may and june they should be ready in seed form


What i must find-

True breeding males of Vortex, Querkle, Armageddon and Russian rocket fuel, that goes for females but males are much more difficult to find and keep.


(Vortex x Russian Rocket Fuel)- Going for a better Auto with high yields and potent high.

(Querkle x Russian Rocket Fuel) Same here, i want a grapey bushy high yielding autoflower, want best bag appeal.

(Russian Rocket Fuel x Vortex) same effect but with different parents to widen gene pool.

(Armageddon x Querkle)-want to cross the best Lime flavored female with the best Urkle dominant Male i can find. Limes+ Grapes sounds like ecstasy to me!

(Querkle x Armageddon)-will also if i can try to cross the best Female grape funk or any special pheno's i find with the most lime scented male.

(Armageddon x Jillybean) using the last bit of jillybean pollen ive saved in my jar, stuff is like adding orange flavor, fruity smells and purple all over any strain i cross it to! orange/lime and purple with big yields are what i am hoping for.

(Jackberry x Armageddon) Limes and berries would be nice, i have a broader selection of females to choose from, males as well incase i find any that are woth breeding.

Fo Sho! I hope you won't mind waiting until June for them, I've got to do a good job on female selection this time,I'm aiming at starting them by mid-late february or early march. i wasn't able to give these plants a whole lot of attention but the next group gets all my tents/closets and attention.


This will be my process over the next year or more
1. Germ: weeks 1-2 from seed
2. Clone: week 2-4 from seed.
3. flower: 4-6 weeks from seed, 2 weeks from clone. using 20 oz cups in sog style
4. Work the strain: Stress test with fim/Topping. over watering/underwatering, over nute, under nute. Super cropping will be assessed as well. three clones will be flowered of each female, one for testing and another for the control group in order to make comparison. this way i can determine how much it takes to herm a plant and make them pop balls or the less scary(but still unwanted) nanners. one clone for immediate Pollination.
5. Keep only those who did not herm or took alot of punishment before doing so as to not pass down that trait onto f1's. 11-15 weeks from seed.
6. Select the best smoking, looking for potency, flavor, yield, Appeal. 13-15 weeks from seed.
7.test the seeds of the clones then replicate on f1's under the same scrutiny and see if f1's are worth a shit, if not scrap it and work only those that were good.
8. BX if necessary or simply move onto f2's and further.


I plan on sending a few dozen of these out for "Free testing" to multiple Rollitup users and by free i mean, i need report and review of the strains at harvest of how it was grown, if it was any good, info on if they herm'd or if they were crappy yielders/Low weak potency or no smell. i'll pay for shipping and whatnot. i want to see other peoples phenotypes and i plan on keeping anything that impresses me and other and working the strain even further into f2's, and if you or anybody else find youself some really killer phenotypes, i will work my fingers to the bone trying to obtain that same pheno from seed and isolating it into its own filial group like was done with many other legendary strains like C99.

If need be, i will try to work down the flowering times of the strain unless it reduces quality in future generations.
