So i moved to a new location and decided to grow...germed a few seeds paper towel method.they popped and went in jiffy pellets...from there to solo cups.. I had used some mg soil mixed with some cheap earthgro that was laying around...using cfls but wanted to experiment with some sun for larger denser budsites..anyhow week goes by and they are good..few days later noticed them yellowing from bottom , getting brown spots and growth stopped...after research blamed it on soil being hot (damn MG)...bought some better soil and perlite...transplanted them..during transplant noticed that these 3 had developed no roots...i mean there was like none...barely penetrating pellets...the soil was hot AND was bad mixture...roots couldnt push through it and it retained massive amounts of water...possible root rot....no oxygen...UGGGHH multiple issues...so i picked up perlite and soil...scrapped the mg..and transplanted...superthrived...ts been two weeks...the are still stunted and growing EXTREMELY slow but they are growing...new growth is green but small leaves and at very slow rate.....the medium is good..no nutes...great drainage..ph is around 6 at runnoff...did i perma-stunt my babies????also i was bringing them in and out to catch some sun...im thinking thet maybe switching from cfls to sun daily is also playing a part in prolonged recovery..heat stress maybe..(no hardening)...this fl sun is a mutha...so i germed and planted an auto...it was doing great..figured an hour in sun wld be ok to harden(at 4 days old)..nope...1.5hrs and the baby was laying on the soil melting...WTF...i cant win...so i started a NL and Blue mystic for backup which are doing great and will NOT be seeing sunlight till they are at least teenagers......question is basically if i stopped putting the 3 stunted outside do you think they will fully recover...and is there any chance on that auto?...its day 2 with him and has not perked back up...there is living tissue but now its slowly wilting along with drooping..was really looking forward to the auto as everything has already been delayed almost a month :(

Advice to all the doubters....
Seedlings are extremely delicate...your love can be the death of em..do it right and take no shortcuts or you will regret it!!

P.s. Miracle grow with ferts does suck and WILL kill seedlings..jiffy pellets blow too

1St two photos are the heat stressed auto..

The rest are the 3 stunted...3 weeks old and look at em....just pathetic...i wld mention that the strains are critical widow and critical kush...but for now lets just call em critically ill

Before you just stuck them in the sun did you harden them off at all .......and at least you know you burned the hell out of them with hot soil .....if you got everything under control now they will most likely pull out of it .....but yes you did cause a huge bump in the road for them ....good luck

So i put a germed seed in the same solo that the heats stressed auto melted...i left the auto there just for the hell of go..go green n all...now i see a tiny bit of new growth coming out..think it will actually come back to life or is that just the plant using the last of its energy to still try n grow?

jiffy pellets are great its just peat moss, I see youre talking about transplanting yet I dont see anything in a container above a solo cup. I never keep shit in a solo cup for more than a week as they will quickly deplete the small amount of nutrients available, especially if youre not using ewc/compost in the mix.

Miracle gro is shitty but you can make it work as long as its not the time release garbage. I heard the natures care is ok but still youre a noob if you use that shit. just pick up a bale of peatmoss, perlite/pumice, high quality EWC compost and thats a kickass soil to start with.

I had time release and it ate the shit out my babies...and when i mentioned transplanted it was from one solo to another as the mg soil was hot...when i did i noticed no root system and the few roots that were there were either brown n limp or stuck in the "biodegradable" mesh....my former grows i always kept in solos for like three then transplanted..but thanks for the response!!

I've had experience with stressing autos outside. I started two autos inside and then moved them outside (balcony) as teenagers. Soon after a day was in the mid 30's with howling wind and intense sun. It fried the ladies leaves. I took them back inside and nursed them back for a few weeks. They're back outside and doing ok but they are stunted. Big time.
As soon as germination starts so does the clock on them. No room for extra time for veg.

Yes for the auto unfortunately. What you described is what I have. I have other plants going so this was just extra but I won't get much off them.

Bored last night so i built a reflector out of a garbage can for a l05w lol. Its not that pretty but it works..anyhow the three are still not growing...tried to look at root system of tallest one and the medium was loose as heck...like there were no roots holding it together...so the issue is from the roots drowning before the transplant to good soil..pythium prolly...dont think they will recover..last water was with beneficial organisms and cannazyne...its been almost two weeks...think ima call it on them soon...should i clip above soil and try and reroot them?

The original hot soil has done this and when a young seedling is burnt its very hard to come back.

Huge bump...u wasnt lying...i sacraficed one to see what was going on below the belt...and ill be damned it was pushing out a nice root system..so im sure that that is what the other two did...but here they are ...yellowing and barely growing but they did grow...now its been about 2 and a half to 3 weeks since issue was remedied...i actually just fed them as they are lookin low on nitrogen...think they will make full recovery...or should i scrap them? Old pics were taken on july 26th...and new ones today...dnt care if the yield is affected...i have replacements in the making...just wanna keep the strain alive and to try..

Thanks
