DEMF / Movement Memorial day weekend Hart Plaza Detroit Mi

I remember the first one when it was called World Party (in 1994) at Joe Louis Arena and lost a ton of money. It took them 6 years to recover from that loss in order to be able to put on the DEMF in 2000 at Hart Plaza. You can't blame the festival promoters for charging - they no longer receive funding from the city of Detroit that they used to get ($350,000 a year) and even with the admission they barely break even. Just be thankful that people are willing to do this year after year to celebrate Detroit's historic connection to electronic music.

Bowl, we talked a bit in a few other threads about past rave locations. mack and belview, mound and outer dr, the whore house, chop shop, packard plant, betterdays, theatre, the "house" (joseph campau and hunt), (woodward ave by white castle by railroad bridge party (new years 2000, soo many people the ceiling was dripping from the humidity). shit, there was sooooo many i lost count. rave party names: jiggly puff, fuck fox 2, fuck fox 2 pt 2 party, transformers, transformers 2 (before transformers was a movie), journey into bass, represent, singletrack v4.20, LOST, heaven on earth, flatline, ascension, Bump 2, planet of dreams, obscured, (after hours) Jesters, 4m, all this dates bact to 1998 thru around 2005 in Michigan. i have looged rave parties from 1992 thru 1998 in tamps fla.

Demon, I just found my box of old rave flyers. Pretty sure I have most of the flyers for those parties. Maybe even got a fuck fox 2 ticket!

thats fuckin awesome!!!!! we threw that party cause fox 2 did a story about how bad raves are, the drug use and under age kids. in reality, all true, but fuck fox 2. lol bustin on our fun. ahh the fun times. all were fun filled, and i remember most of them. lol
