This will be my 3rd year growing outdoor. I wanted to share some of my experience with others. I have had awesome results. I only grow outdoor.
The first year (2011) I sprouted my seeds kinda late. Around the end of May. I ended up with 2 plants. One was some Hawaiin bag seed and one was Jack Flash. I grew in 1 gallon pots. Used Miricle Grow Organic Potting Soil as the medium.

These pics are the Hi.
Unfortunately that is the only two picks I can find. The Jack, I topped and had two colas. The Hi strain had one dense cola about the size around as a coke can and some side buds, I ended up with about an oz and a half off of each plant. The Jack was stronger than the Hi but the Hi looked better in the end.
Now, on to last year. I was really proud of my last grow. This year I grew using Miracle Grow Potting Mix. As far as the pot I used....is to me, the best idea. I used on of those containers used for ice to put a keg in. The ones with the ropes. If you buy a pot the same size in the garden center they are well over 20 dollars. I buy these for 6 dollars at wal mart, put holes in the bottom and voila!
Last season I started my seeds in March. In Colorado it is still cold and you cannot or should not plant outside before mothers day. Colorado is funny, it can be warm for weeks and all of a sudden drop snow in May. However, I grow in containers so I can just bring them inside if that's the case. I had 3 plants all healthy but...my brother got a new puppy and brought it over and she ate 2 of the plants. So I ended up with just one plant.
As far as people saying you cannot just throw a seed in the dirt and it will grow, that's bullshit. At least for outdoor unless you are just a terrible gardener. I seriously sprout my seeds in those little seed starter pods from wal mart, buy Miracle Grow Soil, put it in the pot, add my sprout, and water it. That's it except last year I used Super Bloom I got from a local grow shop. I used it for about 2 weeks..one week flush...them pulled her. (I should have done a 2 week flush but it snowed and I got antsy) I pulled it a couple days before Halloween. These pictures is what I ended up with....

These were taken Oct. 29. The day I cut it down.
So there you have it. I grew in that pot and yielded over 800 grams. P.S. Remember my brother dog at my plants, she ate that one too. The top of it. She just topped it and that's why it branched out like that.
Also made dry ice hash with the clippings about a month ago...
I didn't weigh it but filled about 3 35mm film canisters. Here is a close up...
This year I am growing "Girl Scout Cookies" "El Nino" and "Big Bud" all feminized seeds in the "keg pots" as I call them. I will be using MG for El Nino and Big Bud and probably Fox Farm for the Cookies.
Also, I have 3 autos I will be putting in the ground in my garden. They are Northern Lights, Anesthesia, and Big Easy. In my garden I tilled the soil, added a truck load of horse sh*t I got free from a local and tilled again as well as a bag of perlite.tilled in. We will see what happens. I want to grow the autos so they can be in flower and done when the other 3 females start flowering so I can stay legal. (In Colorado 3 can be in flower and 3 in veg)
I will keep posting and updating.
