Depressed Asf

So we've been without power for a full 27 hours-ish. I've got 2 beautiful plants in flowering stage and multiple clones, a Banner auto, and other experimental newbies in veg. My house was at 47° inside yesterday and temps outside are -1 this morning so it's got to be about 40° inside of my house right now. I'm so fucking sad. I'm sure its killing my girls. I don't know when we'll get power restored. Fuuuuucccckkkking sucks. Pic of my beautiful babies before this bs... I don't think they'll be able to recover??20210211_081321.jpg20210212_173505.jpg

I’ve had power go out for a couple days before and had very cold winter temps. If there is anything you can do to just make sure they don’t actually freeze you will probably be fine. It will likely slow growth for a week or two but they should bounce back if it doesn’t take to long to get back to normality.

I think if the power comes on in the next 12hrs you will be ok. If you have more styrofoam cups, double up the cups for more insulation. Blanket over the tent might help a bit too. Good luck and take it easy. This problem is not your fault and not fatal yet. Plants live outside in 40s all the time they just need some time to warm back up for optimal growth.

Happened to me here in Nor-Cal this winter. I switched to 12/12 January 3rd. 2 feet of snow and no power a few times now.A generator and a wood stove saved me, but it sure is a PIA. I got around 2 weeks left on these ladies.

Sleep in your grow tent. Body heat! Make love in there and get sweaty.

turn stove and oven on if they are natural gas / propane. go buy a generator and electric heater. go buy a propane space heater.

dont just sit and be cold and depressed, do something about it!

They sell bright battery operated utility lights . Some light to keep them in flower would be better than nothing I’d imagine . Can you put plants near a window during the day for natural light ? Joe mentioned a propane space heater. Very solid idea .

these ones are even safe enough to sleep next to.

the cheap ones eventually the carbon monoxide becomes an issue.

That sucks, being without a wood stove and living in a northern state stresses me out sometimes too. I have a generator, and power banks to maintain a photoperiod, and enough heat to keep things going. You'll be more prepared next time. It took me one situation like this to get me more prepared.

my only situation like this i had a small 2000w generator that ran my 1000w light and fans just fine. also ran the tv. that plus one stove burner on high kept the whole house at ~65 for a full week and average temp was around 0F. generator had to be refilled every 80 minutes. after that i upgraded to a much larger unit that will power everything i need it to for at least 12 hours on one tank.

Thanks for all of your input. I'm actually in Texas, damn near in the middle, so this is an extremely rare occasion. We expected the cold, but not the complete loss of power for going on 2 days now. :o:wall:We've got a fire going, I covered the girls and grow tents and just hoping it's good enough now.
Roads are slickernshit and I have a scat pack 392 I am not going to be able to ice skate 20 miles to town lol
