Detection.. through the air!

Just wondering what authorities look for by air when looking for MJ.

Do you think they could detect 2 decent plants next to some shrubs and a soybean field?

Or do they tend to look for large patches?

On a documentary(I think it was MSNBC's "Marijuana Inc,"" that they spotted this one guys medical plant(1) in a green house.

To answer your question, I have no clue what exactly they look for. I googled "marijuana aerial photo", and still couldn't figure out what to look for from the air. I think it is the color of it that makes it stand out so even 1 outdoor plant can be spotted. But I am not sure. I know there is a thread around here identifying the choppers that LEO's use.

I've heard its the color, but that it can only be detected by a number of plants in one area and low to the ground. I've been up close to the planes and helicopter that do the searching. Let me say this, they don't need to be close to the ground. 10,000 ft in the air is close enough. Some have infrared, magnifiers, etc... Hightech infrared on a cessna carivan at 10k ft will definately be able to tell the difference between soy beans, corn, tomatoes, weed. My best guess is that they won't go after the 1-2 plant grows. Not worth the effort in terms of cost. Its the bigger ops, so spread the grow around to multiple locations. Besides doing this will increase your chances of being successful, in my own opinion.

Technology, technology, technology. But I agree with you sheap, 2 plants wouldnt be worth there while. I think just depends where they think they should look. What would be efficient, and worth it. Should be a ok.

Hang on now, cuz if they spend all day lookin and only saw those 2 plants... well geuss what ???

Corn makes a great shield for your plants, as it grows much taller. I wouldn't plant them close to tomatoes or squash.

They cant see shit. they only look for fields because thats all they can see.
They tend to flock to the rivers and streams in rual areas

Pot plants reflect uv light and when you look at them with inferred radar they light up like Christmas trees. No other plant does this so well so easy to find. Now most use this method.

Spotting is a very low yield way of doing it.

Getting caught, it depends on where you live, and what makes headlines. They fly over 2 of my spots all the time and never show up. 15 plants 6 to 7 ft tall over a 300 x 300 ft meadow in the woods.
