I love em. Dont make mine with the deviled ham though.
Just alittle mayo, mustard, worcestershire, tobasco and sweet relish. Paprika for looks if its for company.
To be honest, I’ve never even had a deviled egg with ham in it, lol. It’s always some combination of Mayo, mustard, and often times sweet relish. I usually make mine with just mustard and Mayo, and I like to add a little horseradish to em for a little kick. Sometimes I make them with multiple different kinds of mustard. Lately
I’ve been playing with adding a little sweet pickle juice instead of relish, for sweetness without the chunks of relish

Neither have i, but i think that is the reason for the deviled.
Deviled ham is right up there with ham salad for me, no friggin way im eating either
I always figured the deviled part was: when someone doesn’t serve them fresh, maybe takes them to a dinner a grandma’s house or whatever but they left out them out a little to long. A little deviled food poisoning goes a long way.

As a kid I thought deviled ham was the fancy stuff, potted meat was more likely to found on our shelves.
