Trimmed up the MK, Blue Dream, Pre98 bubba and Cherry Pie. It's all hung and drying now so it's time to install shelves in the flower room to fit more plants.

It's looking like I'll have a bunch of really nice looking tiny little buds. Not enough for me to be happy with the harvest but at least the quality looks to be good. Everything is really frosty, especially the Blue Dream. I'll get some nice has from the BD trim.

The Bubba is really frosty too and smells really good. The Cherry Pie is so small that I may end up doing a run of bubble with the whole thing. There's probably 3/4oz of good looking bud on it. The rest will definitely go into hash.

CP is a finicky plant. Loose soil will let it grow a bit better. Must have perfect temps to slightly cold and it comes out better and more dense. 9-10wks depending.

Bubba should put out some great smelling/tasting knock out buds that are dense but not rock like. Im bad w flavor but coffee like..

I love my cut of bd. so if this is your first go w it enjoy. awesome day smoke. not so much at night.. LOL

Thanks for the run down!
I've smoked Blue Dream before but this is my first time growing it. I've been smoking some my buddy grew the past week or so and really like it. We burned some on Saturday and everyone seemed to like it. Jig took some home with him, actually. The stuff he's got hasn't had a good cure yet. It has only been in jars a short time.

I'll be giving it a final trim in a few days. Then we'll see what it really looks like but it's already stinking up my house ;)

I haven't decided yet if i'm going to try and keep the trim separate again this time or if I'll just throw it all together. Other than the CP, I don't think there's a whole lot of trim I'll be keeping.

keep trim you think is trash for me. Long cooked low grade trim makes great cbd additions to edibles.

I even cook stuff I have made hash with. You would be suprised...

I typically trash the fan leaves and keep only what looks frosty. You want the fan leaves and stems/branches? I'll save them for you going forward but these have been on the floor and are now in the trash can with floor sweepings and stuff.

I dont keep big fans or any stems although they can be used. but leaves that have frost on the stems only I keep. probably makes no sense. LOL mostly smaller fan leaves is what it is. low grade that I used to throw out I found does work when long cooked. Once I even made some pretty good butter from trim that I had made dry ice hash from. kinda nuts.

hows the room going? you have a 600 and a 250 now right? so less wattage and hoping for at least similar results? I think its doable.

Yes, 250 for veg and the 600 for flower. I think it's doable too.
Today I rearranged the blocks in the flower room to make more floor space and stuck the plants that were on the shelf, on the floor. All eight are now on the floor, surrounding the bulb. I cut the pieces for the shelves I want to get in there too. I've got a few weeks to get them on the walls but want to do it soon while I have the time.

I'm wishing I didn't have any of the soil I used this last run in the pots of the plants I just put in to flower. I wish it were 100% FFOF but there's some of the other soil in about the bottom 1/4 of each pot. I can't ever remember what the soil was called but would recognize the bag. I won't use it ever again

Im sure you will be happy paying less to run your op! Plus.. happy wife.. happy life.. LOL

I'd like to get the co2 going but it's another added expense that we can't afford right now. Maybe the Fireballs will get some co2. They're approximately four weeks from going in there. Hopefully sooner but I'm not expecting it.

How I see my room looking in the, hopefully, near future is with a bucket style RDWC system on the floor and soil plants on the shelves. I don't think i want to run hydro on the shelves though for weight reasons. Besides, I'd like to do a little more crossing and running a high count will help that.

I want to run a high plant count in small containers on the shelves and have the RDWC be a seven or eight site system. Maybe use those 5x5 white containers I have and run 30-35 of them at a time. I'll probably start with the seeds I want to pop around New Years.

Just breathing on your plants every day will increase the CO2. Get your wife in there too to double the levels.

SG's Blue Dream and AK-47 were some of the cleanest flowers I have ever smoked/vaped. There was the faintest hint of chlorine aftertaste on the AK. I am talking miniscule (I have hyper smell and taste - it is a blessing and a curse). However the Blue Dream was pure blueberry bliss with nothing else. It was absolutely perfect! After seeing his immaculate lab, it is what one would expect from his happy crop.

I wish that we could start a business that could replace our normal incomes and do this for a living. Time to buy another lottery ticket!

Cheers,
Mo

How much does it go up? I have always wondered about this. I saw a graph from a '30s study that said you could triple the growth of cannabis by increasing the level to something like 10,000 ppm. I need to find the study.

I am building a capsule in which I can seal an LED light and a CO2 system. Then I can do a comparison between an outdoor clone and its indoor sister in the capsule.

Cheers,
Mo

My ambient is in the 400-500 ppm range and I was pumping it up to 1200 ppm at it's highest point. I the room was averaging 900-1000 ppm though and the difference in plant growth was noticeable. Bigger, fatter buds and healthier plants in general.

@Mohican The AK has some chem taste until it cures a bit longer. Im pretty sure that wasnt all the way ready. The BD just can almost be smoked off the plant. LOL Ive been letting my water sit for 2-3 days before using. I also just started messing with bubbling some nutrient teas. I make them strong and then dilute the ppm down for feeding. That way one 5gl bucket of nutrient mix will feed everything. I have a frothy one going right now.

@jigfresh hooked me up with an air pump and hose and little stone to bubble my teas up. Thanks man!

BTW... my thoughts. Co2 works good. But what might work better is ideal root zone temperature. I am starting to thing that the rootzone temps are the most important in relationship to plant vigor. Stretch has slowed down during colder grows but frost goes up. when its hot they stretch a lot but get airy buds. When its just right.. its just right... LOL

I have started thinking I need a seed mat under every plant in the winter... LOL!

I'm planning to put some insulation under my pots because the concrete floor gets way too cold in the winter for the plants. I hadn't yet because they were up on blocks and on a shelf. Now they're all on the cold ass floor. The cold floor is awesome for hydro and keeping the water cool but it definitely gets too cold for soil plants, imo.
