Ok I'm new to the cob leds. I have this dimmable led power supply. How many cobs can I run from this power supply just one? It's running 150 watt flat boards. 75 watt each. True watts. 5000k

Any help would be awesome. I also have a few corn cob HID replacement bulbs. That are 150 watt and 100 watt they are like the one I posted. Just different brand. And has a built in fan in the base with a hink sink to keep cool. No external ballasts. Just hook voltage to your socket. Multitap 120v - 277v

You can also use it to drive more COB's but only when connected in parallel. Watts should be the same and current is divided through the number of COBs. For instance, with 4 COB's in parallel each COB would get 1,4A(5600mA:4COB's=1400mA) But this leads to ~200w. The description is somewhat misleading, because 39v at max. 5.6A is far more than 150w.
But that should not be a problem there is a 2nd sticker on the right with initial current of 4.400mA.

I got these also the meanwell is adjustable. HLG-240H-24A Is the model I have. Says it's 24v output. 240watts. But the pdf spec sheets shows more voltage. I'm so new to these cobs. If someone could let me know if these will work. I get them for free. And have tons of them. The other is 24v 100 watt powersupply. It's a cheap model. But I can't seem to find decent cobs that run 24v. Bc if I could and these would run them. Then I could do one power supply per cob. I can get 5-600 of them if I want. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Also just a thought. I have probably 60 or so 12v 60watt power supplies. Can they be wired in series to up the voltage. Like use power supplies in series to get 36vdc and 180watts? Will those work that way to power a cob???

Stay green n stay hi

You can take Samsung H-Series strips instead of COB's, they have 22,5v and would nicely fit to the 24v drivers. They consists of 48 Samsung 561c midpower led's the same which are used on quantumboards and the strips are rated to 180lm/w at 480mA.
So 9-20 H-series strips to the HLG-240-24 and 4-10pcs to the 100w drivers.

Although you can connect several drivers in series to get the 36v, I would advise against it, even if it works. The drivers are not made for it and there are slight differences between them, which can lead to a failure in the long run.
I would rather sell some over Ebay and buy a driver which suits your needs. This may take a little longer, but it is much better than burning your house down.
