Diac's 1st Indoor Grow

Hey Rollitup. Whats up everyone?

So after some extensive research on indoor growing, I have decided to test my green thumb at it myself. I recently recieved 10 HawaiiXSkunk 1 seeds from Dr.Chronic. I put 5 of them in a tupperwear container on top of a damp papertowel and covered them with two more damp paper towels. I did this on thursday. On Sunday 2 popped and I placed them each in keg cups and put a bag on the top of each. Today, 2 more sprouted and I put them in keg cups also. Hopefully the last one sprouts. Anyway, I had some questions about my grow room. I decided that I wanted to go with CFL's for now and then when I get the money for them HPS's. I'm not sure on which CFLS to go for. My goal is 5 plants and the room dimensions are 3 feet by 3.5 feet and the height of the closet is 8 ft.Any help on this would be great.

Anyway I plan on keeping this up to date if people are interested.

Hey everyone. I went out and purchased 4 100w CFL's(I think). I almost purchased the grow light but I decided I'd wait. Heres a pic of my lights. Let me know what you guys think- I plan on using 4 of these for vegging and then hopefully switch over to an hps for flowering- Now the only problem is finding enough lamps to put these in.............

Heres a pic of the new lights. Let me know what u guys think and if thats enough for 5 plants. I got 4 of the 100w ones and 1 floodlight.

yup. you're safe now.

seriously: CFLs get plus/minus 60 lumens per watt. your 27w bulb is aprx. 1620 lumens ea. unfortunately, even with 1 for each plant, it's good light spread, but not enough lumens for dank bud. i know. check out my grow journal, if you like. I had 7 of the same wattage, just different shapped bulbs.

your will grow flower nicely. but they will be loose, not tight buds and short on trics. but the grow experience will still be invaluable! so go for it.

if you can manage, try to get 2 or 3, at that wattage, surrounding EACH plant. then you should see some nice frosting. but good vent is needed. they get hot. and good reflection for minumum light loss.

Thanks for the help closet.cult. I love the idea of the stealth grow in the garage cabinet--> might have to try that next time I think I'm going to put 2 of those cfls on the one plant that sprouted and then tomorrow, get 5 42 watt cfls. Is that good enough for each plant? And does anyone know if they sell those at walmart because they didnt have them at home depot
