Hello there!!! I am back with another marijuana problem.. hehe! I am 4 weeks in flower + 3 days. The strain is http://www.bigbuddhaseeds.com/Big-Buddha-Seeds-Strain-Guides/Big-Buddha-s-Strain-Bio-s/silver-cheese.html

Symptoms: Top leaves are getting light green colour with Brown spots and curling (claw), these leaves are dying.. I saw it First on one leaf but now goes to others too.

Any thoughts?

My thoughts: A boron or calcium, or manganese deficiency, or maybe a ph issue?

I am not monitoring ph, i give tap water and using biobizz nutes. This strain must be nute sensitive cause during 7 weeks veg i gave her only 2 times veg nutes and i experienced nitrogen toxicity. So i am staying on the low side of nutrients. Last feed was 4 days ago 0,93 EC bloom food only.

My medium : 33% perlite, 33% peat based soil & 33% compost.

Any questions feel comfortable to ask..

im no plant docter, but id definitely do a ph runoff test, would b very beneficial. a high ph could be locking out nute uptake.
aquarium dropper ph testers work best. if ph is high flush her out with ph'd water, if/when 5.8-6.5 nute her with upto 1.5 ec + calmag
& what are your room temps and when did u last water before the pics? (looks either over watered or under)
moar info the better, hopefully a pro will help further, gl :)

Hey chronicbongs thnx for your reply! I have convinced my self after tons of reading that if you have a good medium should be enough for buffering the ph. I know that many will disagree with that but really its a soil grow, which is supposed to be easier than hydro. If i ever change to hydro then ph is really important. I also don't like the idea of using chemicals in my biogarden and last time i was correcting my ph with vinegar i ended killing my plants... Plant also is droopy cause it was just watered looks better right now. temps are 21-22c and rh 45%

no probs, I am also a soil grower and yup its much easier then dro, even simple bubble buckets are a pain in the arse I find...(constantly changing 5 gals of water/checking ec's&adjusting/rootrot prevention= no fun. pro's with it 100% dialed in would def disagree loll)

I would still strongly suggest a simple ph runoff test to ensure the plant can uptake nutrients. correct ph is just as important in soil as in hydro. -if the ph is off- using some ph up and down isnt exactly going to 'chemically' alter your medium . or you could flush with distilled water to get ph around 7..

your plant rly needs more nutrients, is biobizz a veg nute?..-just looked it up.., i'd be using the bio-bloom with 1.2-2 EC in this stage of flowering.
also as far as avioding 'chem' nutes, blackstrap molasses tea would b a good add at this stage also,
gl and happy growing

Hey. thnx man you have a point, i must have really overdone it with low nutes, i will wait for her to get a little dry and i will give her a proper drink. Also i have ph drops but i also have Read from good farmers that there is no point in measuring the ph run off. Well, i have checked it in all my plants and it is around 7 but i really don't know if i can come up to a conclusion with that. And i also agree with the mollases plan i will give that a try too. Thnx!

Are you using any limestone in your medium? It looks like your medium lacks minerals. Sure, a good soil buffers pH, but a good soil also contains a high percentage of silt and clay, not just organic matter.

Raise the light.
you should be listening to Budz.

when nutrients arent being delivered, through lockout or scarcity, the LOWER leaves show the first signs. if youre having these problems in the tops, its sunburn.

I just ph my water. My well water is @5.5, I add an eigth tsp of ph plus to a gallon with a bulb syringe and i'm perfect. I use sunshine #4 mix. Personally, I have had potassium defieceny look like that due to low ph. The whole kit, ph plus and minus, and the test stuff, cost @$20. I see those fancy meters as a waste. Liquid ph test has never done me wrong in my garden or my swimming pool. The best for you is, plants with ph issues respond immediately to correcton. Buy a kit and mess around.

Well light bleaching isn't the same as burning/heat stress. With bleaching, the chlorophyll, which gives leaves their green coloration, basically just gets used up and the leaves closest to the lighting will instead take on a yellow'ish/pale tinge.
