Yeah. Use it in the sides of the pots too. But its only useful when its dry. So it can be a pita. Keep re adding or add mulch ontop of the soil and add the diatom ontop of the mulch type thing. If you have gnats use mosquito dunks and sticky traps too!

very good indeed against anything crawling. shields top soil from invasion, delivering also ortho-silica-acid, completely harmlessly for plants, no resistancy possible, but wont do completely away with thripse/spidermites but helps nonetheless. very good against gnats.
