Did anyone see Biden ...

Did any of you watch Face The Nation this morning and watch Biden being interviewed?

During the interview, Biden tried to explain why the federal government is the size it is. His response? "When we first became a country, we were under the Articles of Confederation where we had a small central government and the vast power lied in the states. When we passed the Constitution, that gave the states less power and the federal government most of the power."

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid aside, is there anyone in the federal government more stupid than Biden? The man has been a U.S. Senator for 36 years, which means that he's had to take the oath of office, including his promise in upholding and protecting the Constitution six times. The least he could have done was to read the document.

Ninth and Tenth Amendment, anyone?

the ninth and tenth amendment died during the civil war..the only state in the union that has a right to succeed is texas..and it would hurt this country terribly if they did..first off..id move straight away to texas..as i was born there..id have legal rights to move back..:)..and second off...the federal government would lose all of its oil refinery capacity...ports..and many other industry's ..to include...but not limited to cattle and alot of agriculture...bongsmilie

Senators and all other members of congress should have term limits.

Vi, you are the last one that should talk about people and reading, didn't caribou barbie stumble around where reading was concerned?

+Rep for that Max..

The Civil War made it clear, YOU CANNOT LEAVE. Cementing the power of the Federal Government over the state's..

A reason that I found it particularly ironic that they keep trying to make comparisons between Obama and Lincoln.. and also between Obama and FDR.. quite ironic indeed- both of those president's were instrumental in growing the size of government- and espically making the powers of the central federal government even STRONGER.

I do believe you are wrong about Texas being the only state that can leave.. Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, New Hampshire (just off the top of my head, there may be more, but those I am positive about).. they also have stipulations in their state Constitutions that the people have the right to abolish their governments..

LOL.. right after he was elected Obama came out and said "we won't be able to do everything we had hoped we could". LOL.. nice sugar coated way to say, "yeah, we lied."

There are too many people that bought the sales pitch. They elected an inexperienced nobody that carried with him an idiot to co-chair. Now we are at a point where we can only guess where they stand.

The reason they compare Obama with everyone else, the man does not have anything of his own to go on.

We are so far removed from the Constitution any more that reading it is simply a history lesson. Hopefully we can change it, but as long as we have this pseudo "two party system", we are stuck. We need a VIABLE third party that has actually read the constitution.
