Did I clone this right?

Alrite, my friend has a plant that he let me top/clone. I topped it, and i took the top to use as a clone. Right after I cut it at a 45 degree angle, i put the cutting into a glass of water and drove home(i only live like literally 30 seconds from him). Once i got home, i trimmed the leaves and dipped it into rooting powder. I had a jiffy pellet soaking and i put the stem about 1 to 1.5 inches deep and squeezed the pellet around the stem and made it air tight. I misted the leaves of the clone and put it into a humidity dome. Is that right, here are some pics. any tips on keeping it alive would help lol:) also, i heard its bad to give the clones alot of light? is that true or should i put it with the rest of my plants under 8 27w(100w equivalent) daylight bulbs? should i keep it in the dome till i see roots? How often should i mist it? thanks alot lol

mist it three four times a day, keep medium wet, and definitely low light. not like dark but nothing direct for the first 4 or 5 days.

Yep. Keep it in low light and warm. If they get droopy cut those fans down sme more. I cut a little over half usually. It keeps it from trying to photosynthesize too much until it gets rooted.

looks good to me! you should put it under like 30w or so cfl will ork and 24 hours lights on. i dont know how much to mist but you need to alot because thats how its going to get water with no roots.

i thought cloning would be a hassle getting everything right as i don't (didn't) have much of a green thumb. i did a wtf scenerio, i did everything wrong, or at least what i thought was wrong. i used old scissors, scrapped them with a non-sterile blade, stuck them in my soil mix soaked with some h2o/superthrive and put the cuttings directly into the dirt, lights on 18/6, i did use a dome but only sprayed them 1 or 2 times a day and a few days later, voila, i have roots. don't ask me how. it was from a plant 3 weeks into flower, did a trim job on her and thought why not try to screw it up. i by no means advocate this, but i just wanted to say don't stress it, this plant is hard to kill :weed:
