Alright so, I just planted 11 seeds and im kinda sketched out. I germinated them using the wet paper towel method, got 100% germination. Then i realized i had no potting or seed starting mix. FML, so i had to do a quick little thinking and what i did was fill 11 small little plant pots with vermiculite and perlite. its prolly 80% verm 15% perlite and 5% Mt. Spur 2009 alaska ash (the shits great for fertalizers, i gathered it myself living in alaska) anyways i sprayed quite a bit of water into each pot so that the water was dripping outof the holes in the bottom. i noticed that the mix was really compact so i gave the pots a few good taps on each side to kind of mix the soil around. Now, i planted each of the seeds prolly 1/4 inch max in the soil just like im supposed to. Its been 24 hours and they still havent popped their little heads up. could the mix be too compact for my babies to shoot their taproot down? or is this just normal because i have grown plants before i just dont remember how long it took for their heads to pop up. i am currently running lights overhead to keep it warm. PLEASE HELP ME + REPPPPPP to any helpers
