Did I go past harvest? Root rot? Or what?

I've been waiting for my buds to harden up and get bigger but now I'm starting to think I've went past the right time to harvest. I feel like they are becoming more leafy and less dense with time, is that normal if you wait too long? They are also having lots of problems; my plants seem to be growing more unhealthy by the minute and one even died in less than a week. I have tried to treat for bugs as much as possible and supplied nutrients and micronutrients. I even added some lime and watered it in to correct ph. Now I'm thinking maybe the culprit is root rot, because my supersoil seems to have packed down in the holes over time and the natural soil is red clay. Also note that there has been an obvious increase of drooping leaves throughout the grow (not sure if this is normal). The buds are leafy/fluffy and don't seem to be hardening up. ANY RESPONSE IS APPRECIATED, thank you!!

I'm NO expert by any means, but I've had some success. From the looks and what you've said, I'd say you simply over Fucked with it. Pesticides, nutes, lime???

Awesome pic of the praying mantis- is he there possibly for a reason? Where's his prey? Hmmm. I'd cut that shit down immediately and trim it wet if it was me.

When praying mantis start humping your bud i think it means its time to harvest...

Looks like you , tried to love them to death, if in ground and it's red clay you will need to amend the potting hole next time and don't overwater or over nute.

What and how much are you feeding them? She looks a tad burnt up to me

Besides the supersoil (all organic) which I don't think is the problem, ive been adding fish fertilizer, kelp meal, and cal-mag to waterings. Now that I think about it, I may have been adding alittle too much in the water(maybe a lot too much). And I'm using hose water and not doing reverse osmosis or anything and haven't checked ppm.

What do mean "amend" it? I filled the holes with ffof soil with a bunch of organic nutes.

How can I be sure that they won't grow bigger/fuller after they recover from whatever is making their leaves die? Many of them are still very leafy and not dense. I believe there is a problem, this plant of blue dream died completely in like 5 days:

Indeed, that one looks like shit. I dunno maybe someone sabotage your plot like ur mom or ur wife !! Lol
Harvest what u can now, the plants are at the end of their life cycle. Outdoor buds rarely become dense, depends on variety and where u live.

Really?! Didn't know there was a difference in denseness when outdoors. I think it may have just reached the end of its life and died. Your right tho the indicas are done, hell the sativas are almost done at this point.

Did all of the burned leaves happen over time or all at once? I've had a couple plants end up like that when I left them alone for too long during hot weather. A very hot couple of days combined with not enough water is bad and will crisp your babies up quick I think.

it happened over time but they could definitely use more water

If it's happening over time make sure to pull the dead stuff as soon as you're able to. Lots of dead plant matter is bad and you want to get it out of there before it starts rotting in the middle of your sweet buds.

i think i'd pick a bad looking bud and tear it open, see if theres anything in there, seems like a lot of people are complaining about caterpillars this year

Looks bad. I don't know what to tell you. How are the trichomes?

That's why i was proactive this year, sprayed BT every 5days until the last week of harvest. Don't want to buggers ruining a good harvest.

it may just be a bad idea to grow in the red clay soil. thats what we have here. my friend put 6 plants out this year and only one did well, 2 just flat died, about the time their roots grew past the holes he had dug for them.

Clay is the worst thing to use in your soil...
