Did I just mess up Buying a roomier tent?

My 4x4x72 tent needed to be replaced as it was a hand me down from a friend and I thought to upgrade to a 8x4x72 so its not so crowded. It has a cool tube 600 Watt HPS and MH bulbs but even with scrogging one or two plants it's too crowded.

I have a 2x4x4 tent I use generally for Vegging with a 600 Watt HPS MH ( no Cool Tube) or my 4 double bulb T-5s.

My goal is to keep a mother plant of 2-3 different strains to take clones from, while growing 3-6 plants to harvest.

What is the best set up using the 8x4x72 and 2x4x72 tents with the 2-600Watt HPS/MH lights and my 4 -T-5s?

Well in an 8x4 room id use both 600s as a 600 covers 4x4. Then id run the t5s in the veg room.

Agree 2 600 in 4x8 and t5 in veg. Be rockin hard

8x4x72 sounds like what I'm checking into . I need more room too. After this winter's crop I'm into a good size grow room to accommodate my needs.

Thank You all for your feedback and I'll let You know how I make out. Looks like I'll have a busy day tomorrow, but it will be worth it hopefully.

yes 2 x 600`s in the room

but

Hps above

MH hanging in the middle

you`ll get frostier buds and they`ll finish faster than using 2 x hps`s from above

but you`ll yield a bit less.... you know unless you can be asked to use 2 mh`s for the 1st 2 weeks then swap to hps then use mh for 2 weeks to finish

but HPS unless its a very old MH bulb gives more par and the blue band and uv`s off an MH give a nice finish but lack all that extra red and heat you get off a hps

Yeah veg with them t5`s or find yourself a nice 200w to 400w 5000k induction tube light, you see them as cheap as $30 on ebay sometimes and they rock for veg, I was using a 200w 5000k induction for veg but put that in my bloom finishing area

Now I have a 300w induction and a 150w led in my veg

I can veg like 6 to 10 big`ens in 40L pots under it and I get them big ass fan leaves that flora lights give normally

That 300w induction lights up a 2m x 1.2x 2m (h) well enough but the led just gets things moving along faster

Only down side I find to tube lights and HIDs is the glass, I try to use less glass as I find I garden alone and you know shit happens and glass gets broken and can cut you

Last thing I want to do is call an ambulance to a grow, that`s the main downside I find to glass lamps......

I'm using the same dimensional grow tent and am using two of the 600w 4 bulb t5's but I am also using 2 of the 50w LED's to add to my corner's where light often gets traped. This I found is necessary during all of veg. stage and into bloom but not compleatly through bloom. I know just where your coming from because I've been there and made out OK. In the growing expertise it's experience that rules, and there is no end to experiencing new methods of choice. Good luck and, PEACE.
