Hey guys its my first grow, and sadly I'm going one plant at a time. I've been germinating in a humidome for the last 48 hrs. I started the seed directly in rockwool that was properly washed soaked and ph'd. Now today I didn't see any activity from my one seed so I wet to grab it to see if it looked like it was...I just completly forgot what I was.. oh yeah I pulled the seed out and sure enough a 5-6mm root is sticking out did I just kill it?

ahaha naw man its all good keep it moist but not soaked and that shoot will get bigger and start to push the seed out of the ground
eventually the seed drops off and then the plant starts to grow its roots
dont overwater!!
wait for the soil to be dry on the top before you water again they like dry over wet, they are more likely to survive a drought than a flood, overwatering will be fatal to your plant

no you want the root to be in the dark in your wool and let it sprout towards the light, it will find it on its own.

why do u have saran wrap on it? i dont do hydro or rockwool but i only ever cover clones wit saran wrap after i remove from humiity dome. usually just throw seeds in dirt and let em go. but no you want to keep it in rock wool and let nature do its thing

I'm at almost a week from start of germination and it appears I have a healthy half-inch plant. Today, however the seed casing was stuck to the leaves still. I figured it would be bettdr to remove it so that the leaves would be able to get more light. ANy one else try this?

The seed casing getting stuck happens from time to time, I gently pry it off with an old blunt knife with a pointy tip. It doesn't seem to bother them.
