Did I kill my seeds?

I have bad news, this is my first time growing and i put around five germinated seeds in their soil mixture.

I left them in my grow space with moist soil and everything that I read that I was supposed to do. This is where the problem starts. I then left and came back about 8 hours later and it turned out my cooler had stopped while i was gone. The temp in the grow space was about 103. The soil was pretty dry as well. I immediately moved them and wet the soil and let them cool. This was about three or four days ago, and none of them have sprouted.

I also had a seed that was a little slow in the germination process and that wasn't planted until after this heat episode. It since has sprouted. And is peaking out of the soil.

Thus, my question is, are the seeds that havent sprouted most likely fried? How long should I wait before investigating further? When should I give up on them?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Id wait at least 7-10 days to be sure. I think you might be fine, the moist soil should have taken most of the beating by drying out.

my last seed to germ was the first to sprout..weird huh?....my dickhead neihbors (who have control of the heat) have had it cranked so my soil dried out too...but...i just gave the soil a little bit of water and those fuckers sprouted in 2 days....did you water the shit out of the soil?...that could be the problem...they need that certain mixture of air and water..don't give them any more until they sprout
