Interesting, so using a pair of scissors is not a good idea?Learn to just pinch/snap off the top node, it will cause less stress on the plant.
If you took off a considerable amount off the plant, such as 2 or more inches, I suggest you clone the cutting.
ALL in ALL the plant looks healthy and happy. It is doing exactly what it is supposed to do.
It really isn't necessary unless you are planning to clone the cutting.Interesting, so using a pair of scissors is not a good idea?
EDIT: Your plant looks good btw OP.
I have seen this pick before, I recognise the slippers, lol. They look good man, want to come spend a few days with me and teach, you can even call me padiwan, heheheIm glad i decided to keep the cutting as a clone, and im glad i used scissors haha also thanks for the positive feedback. Should I do this to all 5 plants? or just see how this one turns out. This is what they all look like, mango haze before the topping View attachment 2930518

Very helpful info, thank you. I think ill stick with just the 1 topped plant and let them all grow out and see the difference for myselfWhether you should top all of your ladies depends ONLY on the space of your grow area. When you top a plant it will develop into a bush, and require more space to grow strong an healthy. If your grow room Is relatively small, I suggest you let them grow upwards instead of outwards. If your grow room is big enough to handle some big bushy ladies.... then top them all and clone the cuttings.
Topping a plant will almost always help produce a bigger yield. In some rare cases, it is best to let the plant grow naturally.
Thanks man and what you describe is what i was going for, as i looked into uncle bens topping method prior to.I like to top mine just like you did there on that first pic you asked about....that lower side growth should catch up and you should end up with a nice 4 cola plant that doesn't need much help holding itself up....that's what I shoot for as I am just not into netting and tying up buds.....I am just a low maintenance kinda guy....I don't think topping has the massive impact on yield some do on here...not im my experience anyhow....I mean if you take 4 plants, top them to 4 mains each you end up with 20 main colas in your canopy.....what if each of those 20 mains were in their own pot having never been topped? props dude looking good.
Topping alone will not guarantee a bigger yield, this is true. Most growers will lst, in addition to topping.I like to top mine just like you did there on that first pic you asked about....that lower side growth should catch up and you should end up with a nice 4 cola plant that doesn't need much help holding itself up....that's what I shoot for as I am just not into netting and tying up buds.....I am just a low maintenance kinda guy....I don't think topping has the massive impact on yield some do on here...not im my experience anyhow....I mean if you take 4 plants, top them to 4 mains each you end up with 20 main colas in your canopy.....what if each of those 20 mains were in their own pot having never been topped? props dude looking good.
What are the benefits of LST ive heard a lot of it but no one has explained it yetTopping alone will not guarantee a bigger yield, this is true. Most growers will lst, in addition to topping.
eerrrm, me again, what does lst stand for, cant find a reference for it, google must be stealing everybody's data again and selling it to the highest bidder. lolTopping alone will not guarantee a bigger yield, this is true. Most growers will lst, in addition to topping.
ya man I was just thinking they were red crocs like mine lol was showing my gf and everything then realized they were socks lmfaoThose arent slippers there socks lol, now that i think of it i guess slippers are socks.....crazy. Good to hear now I can smoke a bowl rather than link that for yaThanks man and what you describe is what i was going for, as i looked into uncle bens topping method prior to.
I lst.......mothers so they can make lots of clones for sog singles or 4 stalks crammed in tight.Topping alone will not guarantee a bigger yield, this is true. Most growers will lst, in addition to topping.
Thanks mate, going to look into that now.lst stands for Low Stress Training.
A plant naturally sends most of its energy to the top of the plant. When you tie the top of the plant down, a lot of that energy is redistributed to all the other branches. In simple terms, lst helps your plant produce many branches quickly. It also helps keep the plant short.
