Did I wait to long to flower?

Hey everyone,

This is my first grow. I'll try to be quick. I'm growing PPP and they've been vegging for a little under 8 weeks, but already they're at 18"! I'm afraid I waited too long to flower them, because they're in a 3 gallon pot right now and the grow tent is only 80". Luckily, I'm doing SCroG, but I just started it a week ago so hopefully this will somewhat help with the height issue, bc I heard these bad boys grow 2 - 4 times the size. Good news is that they're looking GREAT! So here are my thoughts and if you have any suggestions, I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR them.

1. Should I transplant them into a larger pot so they don't get root bound and wait a week and then flower OR

2. Should I cut the bottom of the pot and put it into another pot of the same size for more soil growth (suggested by a member here).

3. Should I just flower them now and take my chances?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Umm, I'll be watching your thread! I've got 3 girls (about 15-18"), waiting on space in the flower tent (about a week or so out). They are in 1 gal bags - I've never considered they may become bound before they finish - not @ this size.
I'm going with 3, man. I'm not a pro - but this is where I come, while my wife "internets". Don't post a lot but I love the daydreams this place inspires!

Right now nobody knows if you are going to give them light penetration with a candle and a Harbor Freight flashlight, or 3- 1000watt HPS lamps.

1. Yes, you should re-pot them prior to flower.
2. No, you didn't wait too long to flower.
3. You waited too long to SCROG - it's a process that goes on throughout vegging.
