pretty ballsy move for a pres who's up for reelection. i think he's banking on romney being so fucking unpalatable that the issue is less of a dealbreaker to the public. and i'm sure the biden comment didn't hurt.
public opinion has evolved to the point where the anti-gay people are being viewed in an increasingly negative way. obama doesn't exactly thrill me but i approve of his stance and the balls it took to make it public with an election coming up. very nice.

a day after north carolina, a key battleground state in the upcoming election, decides to double outlaw gay marriage (it was already banned, they banned it again) by 60-40, obama comes out and disagrees.
that is pretty ballsy, would never have expected it myself. might not have even done it myself if i wanted to be re-elected.

The swing states he needs and had won in 2008 are now against him since most have overwhelmingly passed anti sam sex laws. North Carolina overwhelmingly voted Tuesday in favor of a state constitutional amendment defining marriage between one man and one woman as the only legal union recognized by the state.The vote makes North Carolina the 30th state to adopt a ban on gay marriage.

I wish that fancy chart reflected the real jobs lost in Michigan.....and don't forget the under-employed, and the people that have given up....that almost offsets the whole thing from what I've seen.
Did you see Romney is now "taking a great deal of the credit" for the bailout of the auto companies, minus Ford of course......that was an interesting claim since he is quoted as saying they should go bankrupt....now he says he meant it should have been a structured monitored bankruptcy (sp?) that he says was his idea.
It made me sick to vote for Obama, but Romney is the devil....I've never voted Dem ever before Obama, now I have to do it again. Fuck.
