That's bunk genetics. Had a Blackberry Kush and a Platinum OG Kush side by side once. OG chunked up like it was supposed to. Blackberry just kept doing that (what your plant is doing) and I just ended up with a whole lot of kief fodder.

Im gonna go check the bibles in a second..

This cola i chopped off from the plant seemed to be fine and the main cola itself on the plant seems to be chunky. My heat only gets up to 81 on the rare occasion but in general the temps sit at 75 degrees.

I think im going to chop off the colas that are done and continue to let it grow and see what happens.

"The plant only periodically produced any kind of "tight" bud structure. Most of the buds were very loose, with some sporting long, slender shoots of widely-spaced single female flowers in a row (especially when grown hydroponically under halide lights.)

This bud structure is known as "spindly". Many of these spindles resemble threads protruding from a semi-formed bud. Each single thread averaged anywhere from five to ten inches long, some even longer, and consisted of a row of evenly-spaced female flowers and their corresponding bract leaves, anywhere from a quarter inch to one inch apart, alternating bract and flower in single file.

Thai The entirety of the "thread" and bud structure was coated with sweet/fruity aromatic resin glands.

The overall plant color was dark, while the bud structures matured a lighter shade of green, sometimes green/yellow.

The finished product from the Highland Thai was an all-around champion herb. Though difficult to trim and cure, the outcome was fully worth the effort. It was a powerful, long-lasting and exquisitely flavoured herb with little or no ceiling. The high could last up to seven hours! The flavour, aroma and taste were a totally sweet tropical punch - tutti-fruity all the way."

That seems to be a prefect word for word description. (At least the bud formation)

Might should watch it...

We grew some 'power skunk' from g13 labs that was a freebie from attitude a few years ago that did the same thing but there was no good bud on it, all spindly. We assumed it needed full sunlight instead of a 400hps and just didn't get enough light.
Then there was 'alaskan ice' but i forget which bank it came from now, it did almost the same thing. Again we chalked it up to not enough light and cut those sluts down and stomped on their grave.
If I ever get around to growing outdoor I'll try them again to see.
I've seen the landrace from africa 'durban' whatever, it looks similar as does the thai landrace, so who knows maybe it'd do the same thing outdoors... Might make good bubblehash or cream.

Look , all u need to do is go with a high P and K fert and add some lights, something with UV , red and blue specs are a must which if u have HPS,U can add some flouros'.
You do have landrace genes in that strain and if u can be patient, u should have great little buds that do get sparse, unless u love the couch lock indica then u dont want.

Just wish i had a scanner or something to show you that pic of highend, looks so similar except the bracts are much smaller. :)

definitly looks like a genetic thing, and looks like same little stretch my Arctic Suns do at approx. 4-5 weeks @ 12/12; but my AS's always fill out by week 8!!... I personally think it looks good myself and would LOVE TO SMOKE IT :weed:
