Diffussion Stones worth it?

I've read mix reviews so far about these things. Do they work? Is the extra drag they cause, worth the extra percolation? Seems as if you could put any type of plastic/ glass beads in your tube as long as they sink.

I saw some at the smoke shop. I was thinking about getting some, then I thought about going to the sporting store and buying some plastic BB's. Then I forgot about it until I read your post, might have to go try it!

i think they are kind of gimicky but they arent really that expensive. id say they are worth a try if you cant afford to just buy a better bong with better diffusion

I have some and they do help, but they're a pain to keep clean. My friends get a kick out of them when I use them. Sometimes I'll even add a drop or two of food coloring just to make things fun. However nothing beats crushed ice and ice cold filtered water in a triple perc bong. If you got high end glass, and it's not needed but if you got some basic gear, and go ahead and try them. But buy at a good price because once they get dirty they'll end up in the trash.
