no i wouldnt. just give it time. if you didnt germinate it first then its gunna take longer. i germinate and then put in the soil and within a day the tail will turn green and then you know its growin

With all due respect..

It can take over a week in some cases.. I've actually had fully germinated seeds take over a week to break soil.

If you can't be more patient then this at the first 3 days, you will have no chance of lasting an entire grow.. there is a lot of 'hurry up and wait' to it..

And no man, don't go digging.. if they are germed and rooting you will at best set them back by even a simple disturbance.. if they aren't it doesn't matter anyway, you'll know this time next week.

Just remember, more harm is done by people who are trying to rush things.. much less harm comes to those who wait things out and don't try and correct mistakes for over night results..

Peace~!

all of mine pop after 24 hours and if they dont i throw them away... i use a tooth pick and use it to soften up the jiffy pellet... You said "dig" down into the dirt', how far down did you place them?

Yes, expose it to light ASAP but be careful with the intensity. CFL lighting is ideal for plants under 2 wks. old as they can be placed very close to the first set of leaves with little risk of causing heat issues or drying out the soil. As the plant matures, lower your light source to help prevent elongation of the main stem ("stretching"). Again, CFL's can be placed as close as 1" away or more. If you have the resources, you can upgrade to a MH/MPS with whatever wattage that you can afford. Good yields can be achieved with light systems with as little as 250W but most regret that choice unless they intend to grow only 1 or 2 plants. Also take into account the size of your grow area or tent as HID lights do generate a significant amount of heat so adequate ventilation should be planned. Even a plant as young as 1 week old can benefit from a small, 8" oscillating fan as it will also help strengthen the main stem and can lessen the chance of overwaterting which is the most common issue with new growers followed closely by overfertilization.
