where do you guys put the digital ballast? In the closet or outside of the closet. Mine is 400watt hps/hid digital ballast with built in fan

I have a 400W nextgen that has built in fans and runs cool, but i still keep it outside my cab

Mine is outside the tent on a rack overhead...sitting beside the exhaust fan...

If you are not having temp issues, too hot, put it where it is the safest. If that is in your room, so be it. If you use hydroponics keep it out of any area that could be subject to flooding.
I always kept my ballasts in a separate area and used the heat to heat my home.
