I AM GROWING TWO AUTOS. BERRY RYDER AND ROAD RUNNER (NOT #2) GOT THEM FROM ATTITUDE THEY GERMED IN A PAPER TOWEL BETWEEN PLATES WITHIN 24HRS I GAVE THEM 48 HOURS I GAVE THE RR ABOUT 72 HOURS THE ROOT WAS FAT BUT NOT LONG. ANYWAY I PLANTED THEM IN STARTER POTS AND PLAN TO TRANSPORT THEM INTO ROOT AND FABRIC POTS I KNOW I SHOULD'VE PLANTED THEM IN THEIR FINAL POT I KNOW. MY CONCERN IS THEY ARE 10-11 DAYS OLD I DON'T KNOW NOR THINK THEY ARE THE CORRECT SIZE. I AM USING A 150 HPS LIGHT FROM SUN SYSTEM AND FFOF SOIL. NO NUTES YET. THE FIRST 5 DAYS I HAD THEM UNDER A BASIC HOUSE LAMP... THEY GROW FINE "STRETCHED" I THINK. CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG OR ANY ADVICE? THE FOIL WAS PLACED IN THERE YESTERDAY I MIGHT TAKE IT DOWN TODAY IT WAS SOMETHING TO TRY BUT I DONT WANT TO BURN MY PLANTS. MY WALLS ARE WHITE SO... THANX.image.jpgBRimage_1.jpgBRimage_5.jpgBRimage_2.jpgBRimage_3.jpgRRimage_4.jpgRRimage_6.jpgLIGHT ABOVE PLANTSimage_7.jpgFAN LOW SPEED AND RR. P.S. WHEN THE RR SPROUTED IT LOOKED AS IF THE "LEAF" FELL OFF OR DIDNT GROW OUT IF YOU CAN SEE IT OR NOTICE IT YOU'LL UNDERSTAND...BUT IT KEPT GROWING...

They look OK. They're stretched pretty bad, but nothing to worry about. They will love the HPS when they start flowering.

I'm growing 2 RoadRunner Auto's from Attitude also...you can compare yours to mine to see if you're on the right track. Check out grow journal #8 to take a look at my RoadRunners

Hope this helps.

Make sure you water every three days or until soil is dry. Also since your using Fox Farms Ocean Forest you won't need nutes until week three. I hope this info helps you man. Good luck :>

yeah i wasn't going to start the nutes until about week 4-5 but I guess I'll go with 4.. i water every 4 days or when the top looks like its drying its in a tray so it collects its own water. Do they look normal though?

I don't see any pro's of stretching.

Stretching has many con's, to name a few:

  • The stem is weaker, the plant may fall over
  • The plant wastes energy stretching - the plant needs to be growing stronger roots instead of stretching
  • The root ball is smaller
  • The roots are weaker, more likely to catch diseases
  • Plants will need support
  • Taller plants may block out light from lower plants.

so i'll be needing to support it mainly. since its only 10 days hopefully it came snapback into regular action... germing another RR Right now gonna start it under the 150 soon as the tap root shows... i would hate to think i have 2 plants/strains wasted

I think they'll snap back...they're still really young.

You said you're watering every 4 days, right? thats a great watering schedule for the roots..the plants can use the dry spells between waterings to stretch the roots and become stronger.

But they look good, I wouldn't worry about the stretching.

Thank God... I Hope they progress good.. i'll be paying close attention to the RR I just started to germ.... putting it into final pot and right up under the 150 hps. I'm going to try and push 3 under 150.. just for me so it should be fine.

10 or 11 days since sprouting or since you put them in the ground? also you can bury the stems on them in the bigger pot when you repot if you would like or possibly do some LSTing. When you said you used a house lamp do you mean a CFL or an incandescent bulb? if it was not a cfl that will cause super stretching. also have the cfl kinda close to them 3 inches or so when they sprout. you can probably use the CFL for a couple weeks if you wanted. and 3 plants under a 150 is going to need some CFL lights put around them also i dont think you could do 3 under a 150.

honestly you just mentally messed me up lol im thinking sprout because no lie the germ and sprout process tooK 48-60 hours i know on the 15th my br was getting tall and the pot says 12 so maybe bury. idk im sure it was a cfl it was tiny one my friend let me use looked like a engery saving bulb the spiral ones. what difference does the cfl makes? heat, lumens? I want to make sure i buy one that i need at a good price and not just anyone. i've seen some that just connects to a outlet and you can hang no reflector nothing do i need one. I've heard 3 autos under 150 would be cool for personal not HUGE yields but no really weak ones either. You mean lst them later on? I was thinking about putting a little more dirt around the stem but i just didnt know when i think they are too early i almost bent my Roadrunner main stem she's doing good though i am going to post more pics of them in a few days to see if anyone notices any POSITIVE changes. THANX FOR THE INFO AND INPUT I APPRECIATE IT:-o
