I am trying to get my head around this...somebody please.
What is the theory behind the rootingpowder/gell, I understand you cut the clone stem at a 45* angle under water, right? then out of the water and roll it around in rooting powder or gell,,now my question is, the stem of the clone is hollow,is the rooting powder suppose to block the tiny little hole at the bottom of the clone stem? or is that suppose to stay open? anybody knows the answer please?:-|

You want that hole to be closed up. If air gets in that hole your plant will die within hours. The hormones in the gel/powder are almost secondary to the importance of preventing an air bubble from getting in that hole.
Also, make sure to spray water directly on the plant about 5-10 minutes before lights out and about an hour or two before lights on. The leafs are the only way the plant will absorb water and nutes without a root structure.
You can continue to spray them with sparkling water this same way after they have rooted, it will give them co2 thru the leafs. Make sure not to do it with lights on tho or you will burn your plants.
