Dirt grow problems

so I have been growing hydro for a long while...recently switched to dirt to do a Scrog...my plants are growing from seeds in fox farm ocean forest soil...my ph is 6.0 when I water with distilled water and add a low concentration of advanced nutrient 3 part nutrient. My plants are growing very slow and look very light...any help would be great. Here are some pics.

Thank you for the suggestion...I will feed them and add cal mag as well...as far as the black mold, it is being cleaned this week, little water in the basement this summer....my apologies.
 
You are ph`ing too low (6.0) and locking out Magnesium

Thank you for the chart! That will be helpful. I currently have a fan blowing fresh air on all the plants, I also have an exhaust fan pulling old air out....I am watering every 3 days...should I be feeding with each water?
 
What's drainage look like? I see a DWC resevoir and some black plastic bags, can't tell if you have sufficient drainage in any of them. The tap on the DWC bucket isn't enough. Especially when the tube is still attached.

Watering every 3 days could be too often, for that size plant in those containers, particularly without really good drainage.

I say, oxygen deprivation from poor drainage/overwatering.

The black bags are 3 gal grow bags and the former dwc buckets have several holes drilled in the bottom...they seem to drain well, but this dirt is all new to me...any advice would be helpful.
 
Weird, never used a grow bag, always preferred cloth.

If not overwatering, the mention of a low pH was also worth noting. Maybe a 6.3 would be little better. Still, I think you've been overwatering, all the same.

I use the lift test for watering. If it feels light, water it. You'll know.
 
Trimoth...should I be using nutrients when I do water? BTW they are quite heavy, so I think the over watering may be the issue...I am going to keep monitoring them and cut back on times I water.

Feed-Water-Feed-water with soil etc

How ofter ARE you watering/feeding etc?

Mine get watered 2-3 times a week(feed-water-feed-water etc etc) in 6.5L square pots etc depending on temperatures, hotter it is the quicker they dry out, cooler it is the longer they take etc
 
I have been watering every 3rd day, my plants are in 3 gal grow bags. I feed every other week with a very low ppm of nutrients usually around 300 ppms.
 
Yeah, don't water on a schedule, water by plant need. You don't need to let them wilt. In fact, don't, that slows growth and development. It can also screw with soil texture, and cause problems with uneven watering.

How much nutrient to use mostly depends on your lights, temps, and medium. Each one limits the others. The trick is finding the sweet spot for each in your current setup.

I agree, but for the growers sake, not so much the plant.

It's highly unlikely that black mold(stachybotrys) would infect the plant like a botrytis would. Indoor mold like that wants to eat cellulose, so stuff like wood, paper, wallboard, etc.

It does indicate a good environment for general mold growth though. Make sure dropping your RH is part of your mold control strategy.
