Ok i was growing 2 plants ,1 ice cream female seed and 1 bag seed.one week into 12/12 the ice cream was really great looking until last week when all the fan leaves started crisping up and dying.I've been removing the worst affected ones every few days as it keeps getting worse.I removed another few today ,so there is like 3 fan leaves left now. So today after also finding out my bag seed is a male and now being down to this sick (in a bad way) ice cream plant . I've made my final moves. I super cropped it ( thought fuck it ,i was scared to do it before incase it went wrong ,now things couldn't get any worse ,might aswell give it a go) And then i flushed it first with plain water, then with 1 ec Low N High PK nute suntill my run off was at like 0.8 ec.

Will the plant be ok with so few fan leaves this early ? will my moves work?

Think i'll go with northern lights next time, heard they are hard to kill..

lets all say a prayer for my little ice cream..

you need to find the reason they are dying, most likely your feeding is the problem. looking for a plant that is "hard to Kill" isnt the answer, strive to be a better grower with knowledge.

I don't know if your growing hydro or soil but theres links that might help in my journals which I believe you can access by going to my profile page - I'm technologically impared or I'd post it up here . If you cant access it let me know - there are some pics in there and causes/solutions to some probs that sound like what you are describing . Also I believe that Indicas are a lot easier to grow , like skunk strains . I really hope that this helps you , I know what it's like bro . If in soil and my plants get super fucked up as a last resort I have saved many by transplanting - but still need to identify the problem so they can recover .

Yeah. Learn to grow better by learning thru the growing process like the rest of us. Look at the roots, slimy? What r yr nutes ratio? R there bugs? R the ph too high or low or watering from a home well? A lot of questions like that need to be checked by you and then checked with the correct diagnotic from the pictures and writeups from the "Marijuana Plant Problems" on this forum. Develop an check list of problems to help you. Or, search for an checklist on here or another forum. I know I've seen one somewhere from searching b4. Good luck.

If soil has nutes in it already watering /flushing can release more of them . This can happen by overwatering for a while the nutes get released quicker over a shorter period of time - the soil mix becomes hotter than the plant can take , combine that with adding nutes and they can suffer serious burn . I transplant and use only water minimally when this has happened . Because flushing will only cause more of the time released nutes to become active - burning the plant more .

Ok guys well i sorta know why shits gone wrong. the general purpose potting compost with nutrients for up to 9 weeks growth i got from the local home depot store , e.c run off 3.5 ph 5

too acidic ,too hot. Only found this out after i had planted.

The bagseed loved it , i have also read (after i purchased) that ice cream is very sensitive and not for the novice.

So i know what the deal is, next grow i'll go down to the hydro shop and get some canna or something and i'll also get a strain which is marked as easy to grow or for beginners ..like northern lights or something..

all i wanna know right now is, should i just scrap this attempt since there is still 8 weeks to go and it has has hardly any fan leaves..or is it possible to pull an ounce off it now that i've supercropped and flushed it?
