Disaster was bound to strike!!

For the past four years growing was great! I got more confident every crop and eventually expanded my grow op. My first grow went as such...

>dual 600 watt sun system ballast and dual 6" air cooled hoods
>(1) 1000 watt switchable ballast HPS/MH
>4x8 Grow tent
>12 sited EBB and Flow bucket system with one six bucket expansion kit

And all the necessities such as nutes (3part GH) circulation fans,6" vortex vent fan, decent size charcoal filter, circulation pump, air pump and stone. Unfortunately by the time i purchased everything i could only afford the Ph meter and not the tri meter :-?.....i know right probably a big mistake.

Anyways the very first batch yielded ok but nothing spectacular. The second attempt was much better. Bigger buds (stinky as all hell) and smoked like nothing i had in a while. As time progressed i decided to expand. I purchased another 600 watt light and air cooled hood and began using soil in addition to my existing system. Soil was easy....too easy, almost kind of boring. That is where i went wrong and pissed off the cannabis gods  (I'll explain in a bit).

Eventually i got into a bigger room and expanded once again. New additions included...

>100 gpd R/O stealth water filter
>tri meter
>Two more 1000watt lights and air cooled hoods
>Canfilter 125
>Aeroflo 60 site and 60 site extension:twisted:
>another 6" vortex fan
>(2) Home Built 75 site cloners
(not to forget i am still using the Ebb and Flow)

So at this point the room is looking Bad Ass!! But little did i know how much the summer weather was going to bend me over and take me for a joy ride . I had NO AC in the room and i paid the price!!. I did so much research and i was pretty confident that the water temp wouldn't be a big problem...boy was i wrong. That kind of defeat can make someone want to give up!....not to mention a partner was topping off the tank with tap water and not the R/O. I was banking on a good turn out to eventually get my hands on a 1200-1400 BTU portable A/C

The Aeroflo crop was a disaster luckily i didn't have the extension hooked up. It could make a man cry to see the stuff that i had to deal with. I cant wait till the weather comes down!

Please if you want to respond with any comments of encouragement and any advise when it comes to the AeroFlow i would be great full kiss-ass The experience has shown this self taught grower a true lesson in growing. Never ever get overconfident because it will come back to bite you in the ass!

Sorry to hear about your luck. Temps are one of the most important parts of growing. Heat can reduce your yield drastically, or as you found out, butcher roots. The good news is that you have the equipment and skills to recover. Good luck.

Much thanks on the reply. I have had to source out a new room due to the fact that there is no insulation or air conditioning at my current location. The only plus is the size of my room. But i guess it doesn't really matter the size if it is lacking some of the most important elements. There is not much point in buying the portable a/c when the room won't effectively retain the cool temp.

Yeah heat is soooo important that the biggest outdoor plants in the world grow where it is 100+ 9 months a year.
