This is my first indoor,Does anyone know how much heat will actually be dispursed in my 4x4x7 Grow if i purchased an inline 6 inch fan with a cfm rating of 424cfm (overkill for the room) im on the East coast,(Baltimore MD Area). Just geting into spring time and its getting hotter by the day, im doing 630watt cfl grw , room temps on AVERAGE" 75-81° daytime, 70-76° nightime ,but have went as high as 85° ventalating with lung room with 2 fans plants are in 6th week veg. And they are absolutely thriving!. So I guess my basic question is how far exactly will this certain fan lower my temps?? any ideaz please or previous knowledge

The key to exhausting is having someplace to direct it.

In a 4x4x7 room with 600 or so watts you need a minimum of about 200 cfm exhausting, so you are just fine. As long as you are able to exhaust that heat outside and bring in fresh room temp air through a passive or forced intake you should be able to maintain desirable temps even in the hot months. If you are in a home with no central air or a/c you would need 2x the amount of cfm at least to maintain temps on hot days. Once you start adding that many cfls the heat does build up, I would think about switching to mh/hps single bulb and running a air-cooled reflector so not only would you have the room exhausting but the lights exhausting separately as well.

Main key is moving hot air outside.

Well i guess so since your using 4x the needed cfm for the room i guess u coyuld double the duct ehaust as fan bloing air on the pklants

Well i do have central air in my place but didnt want to have to rely on that asleast as possible. But if i exhaust this hot air in my room outside say through a 6 inch outake hole, then run duct from outside to a second 6inch intake hole pulling in fresh air from outside with a inline booster fan, Whats to say the fresh air im pulling through my intake isnt NO COOLER than the air that I am Expelling through my outake thus just bringing back in thw same tempature of air or maybe even hotter?

So if im pulling in the 80°Outside air in my room.So How do you disperse any heat at all when all the air is the same damn temp.

I would say get a feel for it man and adjust your ambient temps according to the results in your tent. In my experience every tent runs a little different , but it looks like you've got all the equipment to keep it cool! I do alright with my 4x4x4 tent (500w clfs and 105cfm fan) and i'm in az (summers at 100F+) so my ambient temps are around 80 and my girls don't usually get any higher than 85 which is acceptable.
hope this helps! Keep up the good work :)

It takes almost 2000watts of leds to max out my 300cfm 4" double inlet single outlet ..90 at the ceiling 84 at the canopy. 4x8x7 tent

im still a newb, and mt tents are still not up and running yet, but this is what my set-up is like. i run 2 tents, veg/flower.

Veg tent:
fan/duct/tent/duct/ac hood/duct/tent/duct fan is a vent tech 440cfm 6" fan w/6" duct work. i may also add a fan speed controller as soon as i find info that its safe and wont burn the motor. i also will be running a thermostatic fan controller. the fan will only turn on and off during certain temps. i also be running 200cfm booster fan for air intake and 300cfm for exhaust (might switch the fans around). 2 clip type fans inside tent for circulation.

flower tent:
fan/duct/tent/ac hood/duct/tent/duct, fan is a 6"440cfm ven tech. also running a thermostatic fan controller (on/off at certain temps). and a fan speed controller as soon as i get the info needed. a monster 6" inlet x 8"w x 24"L 150 ounces of activated charcoal carbon scrubber (filter/fan/duct/tent/duct) w/6" ven tech 440 cfm fan and speed controller (as soon as i get info). 2 300cfm booster fans for air intake. 2 clip type fans for circulation.

i highly doubt ill have any issues with heat. also, my grow is in the basement. reg temps are about 70* (winter or summer).

You want to create a "mini vacuum" in your tent to make sure that all the air leaves the tent through the filter.

Not a good idea to force more cfm into the tent than your exhaust fan can pull out.

If you do, things may get smelly even though a filter is in place.
