Distance from plants to lights.

Alrighty.....I've gone through 4 crops now and I'm thinking I need a little help/input.

I use three; Big Daddy high yield 3×3 with 1000W hortilux bulbs. Room temp stays a constant 75°. My tallest plant this crop stood 5 3/4, and I had some that didn't go past 4 2/3. Same strain and nutrients. My lights are hung at 7ft.

Should the lights be on ratchets in the beginning weeks of flower?, then raised of course throughout flower?

Yes, raise the lights as the plants grow in height. I keep a constant distance of 18"-24" with my 1000watts. During stretch raise the lights as your plants grow in height.

I keep my 1,000 30-36" away. I don't run any glass in my reflectors.
