That's a 150 watt light FYI, not 1000.Just got this mars hydro 1000watt light to add to tent and i heard you need them closer than my existing lights that hang at 24 for veg and 18 to 20 for bloom any help would be appreciated. Someone said 18 veg and 12 bloom that sounds to close to me
I got 2 of these lights i wanted to run in a 4x4 as a veg tent sounds like that would be good. Thanks for your help the lights came with no information i contacted the seller and there sending owners manual should be here todayWhat size tent?
What make, model are your other lights?
If you are slotting it in along side your other lights you might not need to run it full blast.
According to marshydro the TS-1000 par maps below measured in a 2ft x 2ft tent

12" height at 100% 1344 umols seems a bit high for flowering. Maybe 15" - 18" for around 1000 umols at full blast.
12" height at 75% 928 umols would be ideal for flowering.
12" height at 25% would be ideal for vegging.
I meant 1000 watt equivalent I'm pretty sure everyone understood that FYIThat's a 150 watt light FYI, not 1000.
The optimal distance for the TS1000(150w) is ~15" to get a max of 1000ppfdI had and have my ts1000 and ts2000 anywhere from 6inches to 12inches from the canopy at full power.
When I first bought them I used the manufacturer distance guide,24-18 inches. it worked.
I have since read that alot of plants can handle up to 1500 ppfd.
