DIY 20 site PVC CFL Grow

How long until harvest 2-3 weeks? I would start winding down your ppms especially N. With areoponics I think it's good not to 100% flush plants, until last 2 days of plants life before you cut it, but to slowly ride down the ppms the last few weeks. This way at least I think make your flowers pretty looking as they should change color in the final weeks

Yeah I would say probably 3 weeks, they are definitely getting heavier I tied most of the main colas today with some computer network cable as they were weighing the plants down. so far so good!

Just got in a whole bunch of stuff for my second grow, cuttings are rooting now!

Cheers! I'm really hoping to run the same strain a few times so I can get a better understanding of everything, can only get better as you go , right?! Unfortunately my cuttings aren't cloning very well, the mother plant is showing a lot of pre-flowers now which I think is slowing down the rooting process. Might give it another go :)
 
What did you cap the ends with to prevent leaking?

I'm about 100% sure when you pull the plants youre going to find a lot of rotten roots, especially near the drain end. I had the same issue with a similar setup, roots looked solid until about 4 weeks then they started failing cause theres too much stagnant water. They're also probably clogging your drain line and slowing the ability of the water to run out, making the rot issue worse. You can upsize the drain but it doesnt make a lot of difference as soon as the roots start growing into it they will constrict it regardless of size. The only solution I found was to leave the ends open and use a trough style drain like SuperStoner's setup. I got tired of the leaks and ditch aero in favor of ebb and flow. Maintenance is zero. I've been gone 3 weeks and system is running fine with no adjustments and only a small top-off. I'll post updated pics tomorrow.

Hey Buddy not sure where you get your 100% from, my DWV tubes are on a slight angle so the water drains each time. I have a cycle timer watering the roots for 30 seconds on and 15 minutes off so there's not really any water sitting at any given time. This grow really was just a trial for me to see the good and bad of this system (as you can see in the photo I trialled a few different spray options), I'll definitely be making some changes in regards to simplicity, less parts, etc the next time around :)

I think I will harvest the plants in a week, any suggestions otherwise based on the photo? I have started flushing my soil plant and I am planning to do the same on the hydro soon. I know I could probably give it another week or two but I need to move the tent into another room and I think harvesting the plants beforehand would be best.

let me know ur dried weight, im getting almost a lb n a 1/2 in a 5ftx6ft area under 2 600 watt hps, i have 30 plants in 3''net pots w rockwool insted of rocks, i had alot of troubles w/ my ph useing grow rocks dont know y?

Awesome man, I just got a new 8x4 tent a week ago am planning 18 plants under 2x 600W, also got the 3 inch net pots, the thing with the hydro rocks you have to soak them for days in low PH, had me going crazy on my first grow too PH kept skyrocketing!

love the aero, my constant flow has roots like yours w/ no airstones, just constantly fill n drain produces lots of o2...my tubes are 10 inches apart from center to center, u can get more yield w a little more space between pipes..i tried doing the screen thing for a run and a run that was topped and lsted, i found my best yields are just straight sog..i dont think the training and extra veg time is worth it, the scrog went well but alot of xtra work for no real advantages..my fan keeps the stems strong enough to support bud weight even on the critical mass which gets huge colas and side branches that equal the main cola in size and girth without training...
im thinking of converting my set up to aero now, but i only have 15 min timers, but i dont think it would be hard to convert,idk im getting good results the way it is.. my roots get a bit of a pink color to them but only because the gh maxi nutrients tint the water color, so they are very healthy..i love the gh maxi series, did many tests over the years and its always came out ontop..recently i switched my flush from the last week to only the last 3 days w gh kleen, since the switch im getting bigger buds with no change in smell or taste just bigger yields..grow well

lookin good,, u can cut the flush time in ur set up to 2-3 days..your buds will get bigger having nutrients up to last 3 days and as long as u cure taste and smell will be the same, just bigger yields...have u figured how much water ur plants take up mid flower? i found in my set up they take up roughly a gallon per day mid flower,, so a 3 day flush is plenty of time to get all toxins out.. i use general hydroponics kleen last 3 days, pluss it will clean ur mister jets of any salt buildups..

just put 2 mr nice critical mass and 2 shit seeds in towel, also 2 th seeds bubble gum, fem seeds.. have a feminized next gen island sweet skunk and dynamite almost a month into veg and abcbd fire og bx3, og kush reserved prada, and 2 world of seeds afghan kush 3 weeks into veg,,,hope i get females!!! now im running 24 strains at the moment,, i hate running so many strains, hard to have so many mothers.. im hoping to find the best 2 or 3 females in terms of yield and quality high,, somtimes i sacrifice the best potency for yield or a good medium but i want to have just the 3 best strains and get rid of the rest after selfing each of them to preserve the genetics..i figure w 3 good strains i can have 10 clones off each of the 3 in flower at any time.. pluss then my patients can choose between a sativa, an indica, or a sat/ind hybrid...wright now most of my patients are preferring the lemon kush sativa over the durban poison and the northern lights over the critical mass for the indica group..but they all love the skunk#1 for the hybrid,, good old fashion skunk, old ass genetics and still loved by patients!!
 
Have learned a lot from this grow and thanks to everyone's comments.. I have trimmed up about half the plants now and I think it will weigh in around 250 grams. I will post some final pics for this grow soon! Meanwhile please follow my new grow which is in my sig :) Planning for a lot better yield this next time around
