like the exhaust fans in restroom
Absolutely. It adds oxygen to the water and your plants will grow faster & healthier. After the roots are on the bottom of the tank, I remove just the tubes going to each cup and continue to run the pump 24/7 throughout the entire grow.also - once the roots reach the water is there still any benefit to continue running the water pump?
What is an "air bath"? That's amazing. I have never heard of that before. One of the things to need to remember is that if you want to try something new....don't. Why would you want to do that since you have a fan blowing over the tops 24/7....right.when i got home my air pump was not all the way on i gave my babies an air bath yesterday
Mercury187,
If you want to grow just one plant in a small space I would suggest a 5 gal bucket.

For one plant a 1000w is way overkill and the 250 is probably not needed either. for steath and as a first time grower I think CFL's are the way to go. Now heat issues on top of the nute and ph problems you will have as you learn but you can get all the help you need here.
GHE,
You hove two choices. Either drill a hole in the res and install a drain of some time or use the installed pump to pump the water out of the tote with a 1/2" hose. Most usually change their res every 7-10 days.
