The only thing not in the picture that I used was a 2nd 5 gal bucket, a glass jar, a length of 1/2" tube, and a length of airline. Very simple.

Here's a complete description.

I froze my primo trim in a ziplock freezer bag overnight to get things cold, help separate the trichs from the plant matter. My trim was partly dry, partly wet. It does not matter for this, but wet is better as it does not break up as much when mixing and so you have less plant matter in the final product. There are no screens to filter out tiny plant particles.

Next I filled my bucket with about 3.5 - 4 gal of cold water (as cold as you can get it). I added the ice, then the trim. My suggestion with the ice is to use bigger peices rather than smaller. The smaller ones break up into the water with the mixer... larger ones hang around. Either way it's going to be cold cold cold. Hurts your hands to work with it. I used 7 lbs of ice and think that was about right.

Next I stuck the mixer in and ran it for 13 minutes. The video says 10-15... thought that was a good compromise. Be careful not to do it longer so you don't break up the plant matter.

After that I got all the trim and ice out of the bucket, making sure to squish out all the liquid in the trim... valueable hash juice in there. Once I got as much as I could out, I poured the bucket through my strainer into another bucket.

I let that bucket sit overnight for the trichs to settle. In the morning I syphoned off the water with the 1/2" hose. This is where I messed up. I only lost time. When syphoning the flow stopped becuase I'm dumb and put the bucket on my deck, so I couldn't really get below it. When trying to restart the syphon I stirred up the water. So I had to wait for it to settle again. Next try a few hours later I did the same thing. Eventually I used airhose to syphon off most of the water.

Next I dumped everything into a glass jar and let that sit forever, like 30 hours (becuase I was busy).

Then I syphoned off most of the water with the airhose and tried to use a turkey baster to take more water... but I just stirred things up again.

I then dumped everything into a bowl lined with 2 layers of wax paper.

To dry I set it in my closet (for the cats) and put an incandescent light over it for heat and a computer fan over it to suck air off to help evaporation.

Once dry I just rubbed it all up into a ball and put back under the light and behind the fan till totally dry.

I love it.

Today I think was the first time it hit me (no pun intended). I rolled a blunt and sprinkled in some hash, and as I smoked it I thought how it came from my closet. Just unreal. And I agree that things will only get better, but man... I don't know if I can handle much better smoke. I'll just sleep for a month or so.

Closet is offically cleaned out. Kinda sad. Don't worry yall, I'm still going to update this journal on all the final details.

SO... until I am sure everyone has migrated to my other journal (https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/189947-jigfreshs-grow-1-2-purple.html#post2451277) I'm going to ask questions here and there, or something like that.

My flouros from the clones... I want to put them in the closet for supp. lighting. Where should I put them.

I am going to put the plants in the 'outside' pots. So leaving the middle 'holes' open. I was thinking of putting the flouros in that middle area, down on my rez, pointing up... but should I lift them 6-8" so that they hit the 'middles' of the plants from the sides? Or should I stand them up vertically? I'm not too worried about it, but wonder what people think is best.

congrats on finally cleaning out your closet lol. I know how happy you must be to finally have your bookshelf rid of those plants. Im kind of jealous that we didnt smoke a blunt with hash when I was up lol. take it easy man. peace.

The gumby method is the shit! You can process 175 grams of trim or so per 5 gallon bucket!

In post #4 on page 1 there is a picture of what looks like white PVC in your tub with red hose connecting through the sides. I think this was your first bucket. What is it and did you keep it for the second tub? Also, did you keep the water level tube on the second tub?

No worries man... you can ask all night.

The red tube was my lame attempt at airtubing. I never had an aquarium, didn't know there was actually something called airtube. Anyways the tubes totally sucked for what I was doing, pretty rigid. Also I messed up and drilled the holes they are coming through too low and the water would have come through... so I had to buy a new tub. Same tub. I have only ever had plants in one tub. Still the same for the clones. Always had a level gauge.

There is still the pvc contraption at the bottom, first grow I put the airtube through the pvc and had the airstones sticking out... so they would stay on the bottom and fixed. My current grow the pvc does nothing other than to hold the root netting in place (which I don't know is even important).

Seriously ask away... I'm sure others are wondering the same thing.

Hello everyone. I have another plant cut up and looking nice in it's jar. It came out to weight right on 69 grams. That's 1 g short of 2 and 1/2 ounces. When I was dreaming about getting a pound and a half I was thinking 3 oz per plant... that's 18 oz. I almost got to 3 with this plant, and I think the next will be even a bit more. We'll see what the Widow does.

This brings the dry total up to 188 g or 6 and 3/4 oz off 4 plants.



I honestly cannot beleive I have this much herb. It's like a movie or something. A very good movie indeed.

I think the next plant (the last hindu skunk) will go into it's jar tomorrow or the next day. The widow still has some time.

The two biggest buds are 1/8's. Nice and tight.

EDIT: I was just looking at the 4th picture and I am definitely biased, but I think you could use that picture on a website description for the Hindu Kush x Skunk strain. That may be one of my biggest buds that weighs just short of 4 grams. It's no monster cola, but man is it pretty.

I haven't cut my hair or beard at all in almost 2 and a half years. My beard has never itched at all, everyone asks how I deal with it itching, but it doesn't. I'm lucky I guess.

I'm going to jar up my next plant tonight, it is dry enough for me. Just a longer cure I guess, but that's ok... probably better smoke this way. It's been drying for more than 5 days now. I'll let you all know.
