Hello everybody
Just here to find out what i did wrong while putting together my DIY CXB lights. I have 10 CXB3590 on one 10" by 36" heatsink connected to two HLG-185H-C700A and 4 CXB3590 on a like 6" by 36" finned heatsink driven by just one HLG-185. I also have a GrowMau5 light kit from cutter with the pinned heatsinks and a 250watt driver. Of course they are all extremely bright and i just figured they were working properly. However i just got a kilowatt meter as i'm trying to dial in my room, part of that just knowing exactly what everything is using wattage and amp wise. I checked the bars i made and was very surprised at the readings.
The newer Mau5Bar came through at------------------------- 210 watts,----------121 volts,--- at 1.73 amps
the Meanwell Bars (all connected to one power cord) hit 391 watts at max, 121 volts, and 3.25 amps
I thought i was pushing way more watts on the Meanwell Driver Bars like close to 600 for some reason, are these lights running properly at ~130watts for each driver? I am about to try and take apart my 3 driver to 1 power cord apart and run each separately to see what they will push individually that way.
I'm planning on talking apart the lights i've made on extruded fin heatsinks and make them like Mau5Bar on pinned heatsinks, as well as getting the HLG240's or 320's to power each bar. I was planning on using the old fin heatsinks and the HLG185's to power 6 Vero29 in a 4x4 tent but that was when i thought they were gonna push 600watts...
well if anybody has any input on the meanwell drivers pushing 130 a piece please let me know,
THANKS!
