Bout to make 4 3x6 foot tables using something along these lines....
All I need to make a 3X6 foot table is:
1 4x8 sheet of 1/2 inch plywood. ($8.00)
4 2x4x8's ($2.17 each, so ~$9)
and 1/2 of a 12x7 sheet of pondliner. ($8.17 per 12x1 so X7 = $57.19/2 = $28.60)
1 Sink drain fitting plastic ($6)
$8+$9+$29+6 = $52.00
I dont need them as complex as your, you used really good wood, thick wood, ect.
Just wanted to show it can be done on the cheap.
Oh and add extra for 4 wheels and casters.![]()
hey mate started building my own flood and drain table used cheap thin wood with like blocks for the corners feels pretty steard tho all thats left to get done is pump and pond lining. is there anything else you have thought of using instead of mats looked on ebay today for mats and it will cost me more for the mats than the whole tabel.
Grrrrrrrrrrr....................looking to turn my 3x4 veg tent into two sections, with an E&F table in each section, fed by the same reservoir - was thinking building my own would be much cheaper, I guess I was wrong
Oh well, back to the drawing board...........
The Home depot has trays that will work for pretty cheap. Use a rubbermaid for a reservoir. When I get home I'll take pics of what I'm talking about. I used to use them and all of my friends still use them. I just bought new stuff when I moved because I wanted the customer sizes. These trays they have here look really pimp, but I need the ability to tear my shit down quickly. A few cinder blocks, a tray, a reservoir and I'm out this bitch. It was never there in about 15 minutes total.
If I had a better location and/or I was a lot more inclined to do work I would fully build one of these tables though. It's pretty damn sweet and having it all on caster is pretty nice.
