Oceangreen... sorry for such a late reply, I didnt see that anyone posted after my last... anyways here is the answer..
I am very lazy with nutes, I run DynaGro Grow, & Pro-tekt only in the veg table,
7.5ml per gallon Grow & 3ml per gallon protekt. this typically gives me about 750ppm and 5.8-6.1 PH. I never do a water change during veg, I top off with fresh and occasionally add more grow & pro-tekt to keep my ppm between 750-850 throughout veg.
Flowering... 3ml Protekt & 10ml bloom & 2ml MagPro, I do 1 water change about 4 weeks into flowering, usually about week 7 I only top off, and do not add any new nutrients.
I do not run net pots in my flood table, I use Rockwool cubes, typically 6x6x6 for larger plants (4-6 plants per tub) or 4x4x4 for shorter vegged more SOG style, in which I get 10 plants per tray, I can get many more if I want but am happy with yields and veg time when 10 4x4x4 cubes.
size of the flood hole doesnt really matter, but make sure your pump is able to push water through it to the tub, if hole is too large there wont be enough pressure to continue pushing water up. as goes the drain hole, if it is too big and pump is slow, you may never see more than 1/2" of water in the tub.
The concrete mixing tub is roughly 8" deep.
I run my pumps for 15 minutes at a time, and it ranges from 4-6x per day.
I used a CAP pump as I had some laying around...
