Hermies do suck, both my OGSWTs were, it appears, genetic hermies so I chopped them down last night. It wasnt just a hermie with an occasional ball or banana here and there every node was growing male clusters and pistils/calyxes. Guessing the OG s1 wasnt a good mother to use in the cross and she brought some hermie tendencies to the table. Going to throw out all 2-300 of the OG s1 x SWT #4 IBL seeds, out of 3 seeds, one male and two hermies, seems like junk to me...

Dont have time and most importantly dont have ANY space to waste on questionable genetics.

I forgot to mention, that Scott's OG didn't like nutes much either. I've been cutting the B part of the A/B formula and that seems to help, but now that I've looked at the numbers on the bottles, it doesn't make much sense. I'm gonna try a 3-part formula for the sensitive OGs, to have more flexibility in dialing them in.
I have noticed a lot of the OGs behave differently from the typical hydrid. My OG18 and Buddha Tahoe dont seem to require as much N as most of the ladies because all else being equal, they stay green the longest.

Supra seems to me like ur one of them never finding the right strain type of person, i see u have commitment issues.
LOL ya at first I would never let anything go. Now I have to judge very harshly because I can only keep so many and I have so many in the pipeline I want to try. My goal is to get 10 or 15 of the very best for a rotation. So far these are my keepers, selected from 120 females.

TGA Qleaner
TGA Ace of Spades
Cali Connection Buddha Tahoe OG
Cali Connection Purple Chem - 2 sisters
Reservoir SSSDH (Shire cut)

Understandable, I take a big hit when testing beans for a variety of reasons. But on the other hand, my curiosity of what genetics are out there is what got me into the hobby. Just to get a general idea of what kinds of flavors are out there I have been trying a large variety of single seeds from all breeders. Every once in awhile I will test a whole pack of one variety.

Oh ya I didnt mean it that way I was just saying I didnt want to waste time going through more of the OG s1 x SWT#4 IBL beans I made since the first 3 tested were herms and a male.

Im all for trying new strains like you said. Ive never kept a clone around for more than 2 runs and that was having elite cuts. I only grew The White for two runs and got rid of her lol. I cant smoke the same stuff all the time and cant keep mothers really since I usually do a run or two then shut down for a while til Im getting low, try to time it so I can start a new run veg and flower and start cure before I run out.

Haha yeap my g/f actually prefers a salad over any elite on its own for the same reason. From her perspective, no single variety can compete against a rotation of varieties.

And I agree, full genetic herms should be very rare so 2 out of 3 is a very bad sign.

I just googled "best nutes for OG" and read a bunch. OG growers in Denver and the San Fernando Valley are using this Super Nutrients stuff. <- link

Here's a couple useful posts with similar recipes based on the SVA/B.

So I might try that brand of nutes with a few of the additives mentioned, not too many though, and probably nowhere near 1,800 ppm.

I have never tried chem nutes but it would be nice to see a sample of OG well done with chems to compare against the organic OG.

Here is my nute factory hard at work, earth worm castings and insect frass. Organic scraps, rinsed coco peat, cannna roots and leaves. I amend the soil with organic chicken manure, indo guano, alfalfa meal, kelp meal, greensand, and rock dust/azomite. Not much of a science though, I just use as much EWC as I can make.

Nice! Real organic herb can't be beat. I've gotten lazy in recent years, been using the bottle ferts with coco/perlite mix for small strain hunter runs. For the real deal medical grow though, I probably should go organic soil. Maybe I'll try the new Kushman Vegamatrix line to ease back into organics.

Someone on here keeps saying DWC is a perfect marriage with LED, so that's another option. Most people doing buckets are running chem I think though. I'll have to check into the current state of organic DWC technology, maybe I can combine this with a small-scale Tilapia operation.

Yea it was a good amount of work to get the soil where I want it but once its done, very easy to reamend and saves a trip to the store/hauling it in. I havent tried to no till method but that would save me a ton of work if it actually works. Checking out the Kushman vegamatrix. LOL at OG tea!

I had never heard of OG Tea, but I just found the link. Yeah I don't know about that stuff, but I've heard Kushman grows good bud, so I guess it works for him anyway.

I've also been wanting to try those Blumat auto sensing drippers, but they don't work right in coco, so there's another reason (to go back to soil).

Couldn't you contact a normal dealer that has no webshop were you can order? Maybe they will supply the 3070's per 50 pieces.
Well...so much for "normal" dealers. Just talked to one in my country. MOQ is 100 pcs unless they have some on stock. They do not often have stock, so you have to be lucky. I see that Mouser sells the 2700k with a MOQ of 55 (so they say on their website). 55 is doable with the right amount of people.

I think they canceled it because of the lead time from Cree. It may be that everything Cree is producing is already sold or they may be retooling etc. Good news tho...
