Shout out @robincnn at NGL for yet another hook-up and great customer service on my orders. I'll continue to do business with NGL! Finally recieved my driver.(not ordered from NGL)The sinks were here 3 days after I ordered. Nice robin. Really appreciate you soldering the pot to the j-box I purchased. I'm really diggin' the SST X, nice & hefty. Now it's time to build this baby!IMG_3009.JPGIMG_3010.JPG

I have a few questions and maybe I can get some help, suggestions and assistance.
So, I have 2 200w bars. 1 bar houses 4 cxb 3070bb 3500k on 120mm sst heatsinks from ngl. bar 2 has 4 cxb3590 3500k on heatsinks from cutter,140's I think. Both of these bars are run by 2 185-1400 Meanwells. The 3590's barnhas to be rubuilt due to it being shorter than the 3070's. Did'nt have enough angle alum. left. All bars will be 48" long going forward.

What I'm wondering is.
1. should I continue with the bar style now that I.m going up to 12 cobs?
2. If so, what should the spacing be between the cobs on the 200w bars as well as the new bar being built. cob spacing, center to center. This is the one that is really bugging me.
3. I'm assuming and I have been told, the 320w bar should be raised higher than the others, is this with the reflectors(ledil angelina)on? I do use reflectors now. If I run the 320 watter without reflectors will that then compensate and allow me to run them closer to the height of the 200 watters?
All this will be going on in a 4x4 tent lol. Any thoughts, help is appreciated. Also, can someone point me to the thread that shows you how to calculate ppl and ppfd for my area? My search kicks me off the site when I hit enter.

@robincnn, I need some mounting suggestions for the j-box and the driver. May have to remote mount the driver. It's a heavy beast. There isn't much space on the angle aluminum frame for either. It is a straight bar style 4 cob bar. I'm not very good at engineering nor the design aspects. I can crrtainly follow directions and copy my ass of tho!

Thanks sixstring. Gotta pic of the driver board? I need to copy an idea. Can't view many pic on the "pics of your diy lights" thread before my browser crashes from the large pics trying to load. Also, are your pots attached to your lights insde the tent/growspace? I have a junction box purchased from NGL, drawing a blank on how and where to mount it along with the big assed 320-2100 meanwell. I want to take my other two 200w bars apart and remotely mount their drivers as well. All 3 drivers will be mounted outside the tent.

also @robincnn, the diy light picture page on the site no longer exists?

ok will send 2 cases. I got the frames and will list them on website tomorrow.

bender wirth holder holes are 54mm Diagonal. Not sure if the SST X you have is compatible.

Might have to grab some of those lenses for my sst x's. Also a case. How many cases do you have for that price? Have to wait till after x-mas to purchase.Would you advise the lenses for my sstx bar? Thanks for the mounting tip for the driver, eh....how about the j-box? I'm clueless... Thanks for the pic link. Maybe I'll find inspiration there.

25-30 cases left.
khatod will work with cree 3590 if you use bender writh COB holder. Or you can use Ledil reflectors

ahhhh, dammit. Knew it was too good to be true. Guess I'll wait for another time. I do have ledil reflectors. Don't want to buy new holders and such, my third bar is already built, just need to wire up the j-box and driver. And mount them somewhere!

Mounting problem solved. Thanks all!

Also, I was rebuilding my other 200w 3590 bar, and after unmounting the heatsinks, I noticed some discoloration on 3 of the sinks with the fourth in it's beginning stages. These aren't NGL's pin sinks just to be clear. Also this is the only bar where the angle alum. is grounded as well. Not sure if that matters but thought it would be noteworthy.
