Being that harvest time is getting near its also the time I fear most... Being ripped off. So I set up these little trip wires around my yard to scare off any would be thieves. $1 each at the 'dollar tree'.
Open the package and place the batteries in the alarm.(make sure switch is set to off, Its loud). No need for the magnet.
What you'll want to do next is to first mark a spot on the cover. The mark should be in a spot where two of the batteries meet.
Now make some sort of a hole in the cover where you marked, It needs to be wide enough to place your trigger into.
Put the cover on and make sure you can see the spot where two of the batteries meet.
NOw you'll need to make a trip trigger. I used a plant name marker. Works perfect! But the point is you want to jam something in between the battery connection.
If its in correctly you should now be able to turn the unit on without sounding the alarm.
Unit armed...
Now put a hole in the end of the trigger so you can attach some fishing line to it.
Now place it in a spot that is out of the weather and out of sight.
TIPS:
-Just remember that you want the weakest link in your chain to be the trigger keeping the batteries separated.
-Make sure your trip line isn't going to be tripped by a tree or something moving around due to wind or growth.
-It will withstand wet weather conditions but if you'd like you can hide it better.
Peace, I hope this helps someone...
