DIY with Quantum Boards

the qb288s are 54V so you would want the HLG-320H-54A to run three boards in parallel
Sorry for the questions. So I could also run the HLG-320-C2800 with 3x 304 boards? I'm just a bit lost since the max current on the boards is 1400 mA? Do I simply wire them in series and dim the driver back?

When will the 24x 120mm pin heatsinks be back in stock, thanks.
2 weeks

Why do they not make a 2700k board?
2700K coming back in mid of this month

BTW will you be stocking the QB120?
This weekend in 3000K and 4000K, most push wire connector. Limited with DC barrel connector

I think I answered my own question. I actually want 3x qb288 ran in parallel on the hlg-320-48a? Correct?
As per datasheet hlg-320-48a is 43 ~ 52V adjustable.
288 may max out at 100 watts or less at 52V
2x 288 may max out the hlg-320-48a . hlg-320-54a will work for sure.

@robincnn do you know when when heatsinks are coming back in stock? When is the next QB drop scheduled? Thanks!
This weekend for QB 120. Mid next week for QB304/288

density has little to do with uv and far red and just about everything to do with ppfd

how many watts per square foot were you running with cmh vs qb? how hard are you running the qb? how uniform is your light distribution across your canopy when checked with a lux meter or phone app?
Okay I downloaded a Lux meter for my phone and it was all over the place the Q boards seemed to be about 36000 directly under them with 12000 as the lowest point on the scrog net. but the Vero 29s read at 50000 (do have a bad meter that sounds way too high) and the CMH was only about 12000 at the Scrog net. What should I be shooting for and should I raise my lights a little bit? Also the shock was those CLU0048s that I bought from you are also putting out about 36000 too (not bad for 4 $9 cobs)

Lol I'm not sure I'm cut out for the diy. I got an hlg-320-c1400 for 3 304 boards to wire in series. I'm now realizing the constant current region maxes at 229V (as I understand is too low to run 3 304 boards in series - 345v). So I will need to wire these in parallel, correct?

If wiring three of these in parallel... Is an hlg-320-c2800 more appropriate (constant current region being 57-114v)?

Maybe I should have asked this first... What amp driver is included in the 320w xl qb kit?

How in the world do you guys cool these things down! These 2 qb 304 260w are cooking my tent!
MY 2¢ ....

Are sure you have good negative pressure in tent ?

.... I have a passive inlet and can see the tent door PULL inside ...a simple way to check . For my 3x3 , the 6" is vertical mounted and is in " heat pocket " above rig ... I have about 15-18" clearance ABOVE RIG ... I leave my rig at static height , elevating young seedlings ( to about 20" to light ) plus power down slightly ( 70% of max ). During week 5-7 I raise up power to let buds build up mass. But make sure I have good airflow. The Quantums can get tents warm especially when zipped closed , but with air being pulled properly it will be manageable.

If you run balls to the wall - YOU NEED AIR MOVEMENT to move air out.
You can clip a corner clip fan to blow across slates ... I can still put hands on bare slates and they are lightly warm to the touch.

My 3x3 is shutdown right now but pics are of my 42x30x66 ... Same method .... Except
you can see the shitty tower fan I have ( that's been pretty reliable for over a year of nonstop use )

Average temps run from 69°-88° ISH - Quantums seem to ( for me ) level according
to ambient temps ... Almost like a thermometer.. I guess if I had a small fan horizontal across fans ( tents side port ) I would get lower temps .

Good luck.

Hey guys! I just got my 260W QB304 kit assembled over the holiday weekend, and this thing is super nice! I have it hung in the tent now and it's a perfect fit. One thing I noticed when I was testing it out though is that it seems to max out at 240W from my smart plug.

Is it possible the potentiometer I soldered onto the Type-B Meanwell driver is limiting the total power? I seem to have a 10-240W usable range, and while I don't think I'd ever need more than that in my current tent, nobody likes feeling underpowered.

@robincnn, @Stephenj37826: Thoughts on what might be limiting the power?

Been lurking around for a bit and am thinking of purchasing some of these for a new grow measuring 6' wide x 2' deep x 9' high.

Would you go with two 265 kits or 3 135 kits?
