I had no illusions that my lack of symmetry would go unnoticed. Everyone that looked at it called me out on it! :)

BTW, i love those HGL-480s. I can run a 4x4 on one of them. Run 4 x 304's at 115 watts or 9 cobs running 55 watts each. Price wise they are only 23 dollars more then 2 x 240s. But if you figure you have to run less wires, 1 less plug, less timers, etc, i think it works out. It also pulls less amps then 2 x 240s if that is a concern.

Those are slate 2. I spread the boards out...they hang over 5" or so. With the drivers mounted between the heatsinks and the boards spread, the rig lights up a 4x4 area much better. I was thinking of cutting the slate 2s in half or trading them for slate 1s, but so far this setup is A ok. Lastly, I had the drivers mounted to the ceiling and realized that having them mounted on the rig itself would allow adjusting the intensity much easier. I have limited space and have to think ahead about maintenence issues. I also moved the power strips from up high to down low for the same reason. Btw, this is my first official serious grow and I could not have done it without the help of countless videos, blogs etc that I have read since June of this year. A grow journal over on 420 mag started this whole thing, look up Hyena merica. Thank you to all of you, each and every person that participates in spreading the knowledge and to each person that reads this, its been an amazing 4 months. Spread the love. This looks like QB 288.
The side that does not have the heatsink has 8 parallel strings, side on heatsink has the remaining 8 strings
The side with heatsink would run cooler. due to temp difference they wont draw the same power as voltage will be different due to temps. You may be gaining spread but losing on efficiency if board is running hot.
This may be fine, not sure what is drive current and board temp. I would have put boards on heatsink .You can cut them in half. or get the triple.
